How did Bethesda just become 100x slower than before? Where's the CK they promised?

They take 8 years to make this game, the longest ever for any game they've ever made, and it turns out to have less s*** than Skyrim and FO4. All copy-pasted assets.

Meanwhile they said they'll release the CK by early this year. Now's nearly Q3 of the year and still nothing. Seriously wtf are the folks at Bethesda doing? Are they short-handed on staff or something?

I find it hard to believe a smaller game studio like Larian can update their game every week while Bethesda takes 2 months to make those same amount of fixes as Larian does. I've been having SF on my backlog ready to get back into once mods are released and make the game unboring but at this point I think I'll just shelve it and forget it ever existed

Larian works on the game 24/7.

They are able to do so by passing the work to another studio they own in a different time zone whenever the work day of one of thair studios is over.

That's how they are able to push out updates that quick.

But that's also not a usual way to work on a game so larian is not really comparable to most other companies in that matter.

I've been having SF on my backlog ready to get back into once mods are released and make the game unboring but at this point I think I'll just shelve it and forget it ever existed

The correct answer is gravitational waves (usually between two large black holes colliding together) can cause time dilations that might make Starfield slower on some days than others. My suggestion is don't play when one comes your way.

They got greedy, they wanted to get into live services, they tried to make that happen with Shelter, Blades, Legends and 76 but most people continued to play their single player games instead.

This is why we haven't gotten a proper sequel in over a decade and 2 console generations, this is why they're so slow now.

Creation kit keeps getting announced, they mentioned it after, saying whats new coming.
So I wouldn't expect it this upcoming update - it hasn't even been 6 weeks since the last update. They have been sticking pretty true to the 'every 6 weeks gets a sizable update' statement.

And we are barely 1 month into the second quarter; 3rd quarter starts in July.

This is why I have so much more respect for Larian despite not liking BG3. At least they put thought and effort to creating a story and giving players options.

And they didn't abandon it after release like SF did lol
