Преглед на статистиките:
The release of Starfields Creation Kit may be drawing near...
...according to some recent developer activity pulled from the Starfield Steam repo. A February 22 update, first spotted by Reddit user TERAB1T, saw Bethesda add a new codebase branch.
But the game's Creation Kit 2 could ostensibly require more thorough testing due to the sheer volume of functionality that it's bound to introduce....the studio may be prioritizing rolling out the game's official modding tools (in a beta) to its verified modders, that doesn't necessarily mean people interested in creating free mods will have to wait for much longer.

Indeed, I asked elsewhere but could not find a definitive answer (about why MS is so anti mods on console).

Speculation, but I rate it a pretty high chance: platform integrity and security.
MS have a long history of learning the hard way that when they allow their applications to import data people will look for ways to exploit that and turn "data" into "executable code".
Double the risk this time around, as now not only are MS the console owner they're also the game platform owner. If they let something malicious through the cracks, they can't just blame someone else and walk away. If this is a BGS studio-wide initiative, it means it's a high exposure target. If it was just Starfield? new and relatively small target, but if the platform is now all past and future BGS games, that means it draws the attention of Skyrim and FO players, so a much more enticing target for unscrupulous folks to look at.

As for mods being paid for individually, well that I'm still on the fence about, some mods I'd have no issue paying a nominal fee, but if its crazy like £20 for one, I won't be paying.
And other mods are just so small, I'd expect fractions of a unit, but I suspect their will be a minimum band price, and again I wont be paying.

I agree with all of this. I purchased a couple of things in Creation Club, but they were like $1 at the time. I'm simply not, short of a The Most Amazing Mod, going to slap down $20 on a mod through their paid platform, whatever they call it. I'm sure some people will, but I don't think the majority will.

I mean, it's a whole can of worms, DLC is a one shot addition, Mods though? every update, they stop working, mod creators quit & mods stop being supported, so others get permission and take it over, there can be dozens doing the same thing with minor variations, who gets first dibs on a mod (effectively like copyright). I just don't see how they can iron all these things out.
Until the CK eventually sees the light of day, I'm trying to retain a little optimism here. I know mods break when the game updates, what I'm hoping is that they're abstracting data a bit more (is this why xEdit is having more trouble?) so that there's less potential issues from base/dlc game updates breaking mods. I expect, even if so, that may be limited to 'basic' content mods, such as textures/models/quests with script heavy mods still being a "cross fingers" situation for us gamers.
Again, more speculation on my part though.

I guess they could do a DLC which allows you to mod your game with mods, and cut out all the headaches. (didn't they do it with an older title?)

That sounds familiar?
Nice counters. Easily countered on all counts but nice anyway.

They are definitely going to monetise mods. What it might depend on is how many modders want to give themselves, and their content, to that ecosystem.

It is possible to mod the game without the paid Creations system, we're already doing that so BGS/MS cannot lock us out of modding the game which I know was an early concern, however I suppose there is a possible outcome where modders abandon free modding distribution and put everything they make into Creations. Which would be "bad" for gamers wanting to use mods, but would also probably lead to greater proliferation of content on the high seas (which is where all the CC stuff ended up anyway).

On balance of things though, it's probably unlikely that a majority of modders will solely distribute through Creations. If the terms of use for it means that mods distributed through Creations can only be distributed there, then I think it would just turn people off, and that the most likely outcome is that mods will be able to be hosted simultaneously in multiple locations. That would allow users on consoles easy access to mods through Creations and PC users the freedom to continue finding and using mods from other sources like Nexus.

My guess, and it's purely speculation, is that the hold up on release of CK might have more to do with business and legal issues around the platform on consoles than any technical aspects of it. Despite having "Creation Club" in the past, this is something with differences that we don't know the entire scope of yet. It was a big enough change for them to rename the system. Just guessing though.

Indeed, I asked elsewhere but could not find a definitive answer (about why MS is so anti mods on console).

I loved being able to play F04 on my console with mods, it made the experience so much longer lived.

I'm sorry but I looked for an actual question in there but didn't see one until the very end and that was more of a statement than a question.

As for paid mods it's simple, you don't have to buy them as many people don't, never have, never will. Some do buy them.

The good news for people who don't want to pay for them or feel they are over priced is there will be plenty of free mods just as there always have been. We all know that both Free and Paid mods have existed in Bethesda games for several years now.

Hope that helps.

Thats not very objective of you now xD
It wasn't very objective of me then, either.
Is this June or even May already? April anyone? Nope. OK. CK is fine then.

So when you wrote on 24 of February that its 'drawing near' you meant 3 months?XD

LOL!

Yes Vlad, this dying game will not ever truly die, it's so epic and even if it's not epic at all, modders will save it from the fiery hell it's currently headed towards shortly after this pack arrives, which is most definitely coming out as well as the DLC.

Well let's see, yes let's check that, good idea.
Let's start with the day you referred to; February 24th
The title was taken from the article which btw only talks about "may be drawing near"

Wll then what were my words?

It might be near

Someone who perhaps didn't understand what "may be" or near means asked me this:

March maybe if not end of this month :)
Yes, maybe. Let's bring some positivity to this forum:steamthumbsup:
Oh that time I used it as "maybe'. I mentioned the P word "positivity" (bad word to some)

And later i said "maybe April" which fits in nicely with my reply today which prompted you to ask your question.

Ahh it's a beautiful day when the release of Starfield's Creation Kit may be drawing near. Maybe by April.
The sun is shining and outside of gaming life in general is good these days.

So now I think it should be clear as to why I wrote;

Realisticly thinking, Bethesda is now owned by microsoft and they put a mobile game CEO in charge of Zenimax(so in charge of supervising Bethesda).

Its not unheard of canceling games, say for example EA canceled Andromeda's sequels and DLC's after it brought alot of bad publicity.

This game is a mess, its alot of bad PR, Microsoft is focused on restructuring its gaming studios.

I dont want jinx it but it might be Starfield might get canceled too :(
