Just like skyrim, this game has become amazing because of mods

Honestly, I thought the game was ok. Kinda offensive in npcs, but I actually liked starfield despite me thinking "well this game is ok". I like it even without mods, more than no mans sky is today...I think planets and what wildlife there is looks a lot better. I also find starfield to be oddly relaxing and slow paced which is great for me. No mans sky is too actiony and fast.

Skyrim also to me was just ok without mods, I found skyrim to be kinda (very) broken at release and kinda worse than starfield when skyrim was new (no mods when it happened, but if fps was too high meaning your pc was just too good the intro skyrim wagon would go flying off and break the whole game lol). Starfield at least isn't and wasn't a broken game at launch like skyrim was. Skyrim you STILL literally have to cap your fps at 30 or the game breaks even at 60 fps lol. Its just not as obvious at 60 fps, but if it goes ONE fps over the whole janky physics system breaks and that breaks scripts and all kinds of stuff.

Game looks very beautiful. AND mods solve my # 1 complaint I had of starfield.

Why did I think starfield was just "ok"? Because it was a stupid human only game in a game about space. And it wouldn't be so bad if the humans actually looked less offensive. No aliens, just boring offensive looking humans. With mods, now you get star wars races and the author plans to add other aliens from other sources.

Also the humans in the game (the random npcs) honestly...

I hope bethesda goes back through the generic npcs and spruces them up more because I honestly do find them to be upsetting especially when people make memes about them (african/asian here, and its almost like memes made of me). Dunno, but I really hope bethesda changes them so I don't need mods for that part.

Also mods add a ton of animal varieties, add tons of new weathers and overhaul planet biomes to be far more diverse. Mods do a ton to fix the game up.

Point being outside a couple little rants, the game really is amazing when you add a bunch of mods to it. BUT, fallout 4 and skyrim are both exact same. Vanilla they are all ok, even morrowind is just ok...

add mods...and they all....

Also, I hope more modders pickup starfield. I know it isn't nearly as popular as skyrim, and yeah I still play skyrim, but skyrim is decades old, its older than fallout new vegas, fallout 4, fallout 76 and now starfield.

But there are those who really enjoy most of the game (well except me and the npcs xD). I'd want to see more aliens and more animal life, since when I play a space game, thats what I personally want to see. But as it is, grindterra I think mod is, star wars races, royal galaxy mod, have a mod that adds actual giant mechs...game is new and already really great with mods.

AND the modding kit isn't even released yet, and mods are already amazing

Don't worry, more modders are jumping in all the time. It's already one of the top-modded games only after a few months.

Skyrim is not amazing neither is this, skyrim is ok it was fun for like 10 hours ive never been able to bring myself to a second playthrough cause its so boring. Starfield is a whole nother can of worms its a game with nothing in it. Unless the mods are REALLY adding stuff it will be bad forever, plus i shouldnt have to download 100 mods to make a game from bad to good.

yup :D it has actually a TON of mods considering the modding kit isn't even released.

Though for a more positive thread, I'm gonna go back and edit out most of my rant about the npcs xD When I talk about them I get very upset by how they look because like I said...the memes people make target people like me almost in my mind, cause the npcs are supposed to resemble me :( BUT the game is really amazing despite that and mods fix that up anyway. I better not bring up the vanilla npcs though cause every time I do no matter where or what it is, I go on a rant about them lol

It's okay to dislike Skyrim. I've been playing it for 10+ years, and just recently got into heavily modding it to prepare for the next 10 years. Vanilla was great, had a blast speedrunning main quests and faction quests, but the time of modding is here, now. If you don't like Starfield, there are plenty of other games forums to post on for games that you enjoy more.

Yeah I mean, everyone has their game they like. Not everyone will like starfield, and not everyone likes or liked skyrim mods or not. Some people don't like baldurs gate 3 or witcher 3, but there are those that do.

Personally if I don't like a game, I MIGHT make one or two posts (and the second post would just be a reply to why I didn't like it or whatever). But 99% of the time I'm gonna move on, but if I see potential in a game, I'll leave feedback at least that be the one post I make if at all.

But personally I have way better things to do than focusing on negativity and things I dislike. Sadly, youtube is filled with people who love watching rage videos and videos about dead games and celebrating dying games and the world today is filled with far too much negativity...so I just avoid that and focus on things I like for most part. I do my best to avoid dragging myself down, doesn't make me feel any better but worse.

Much easier to focus on the positive, honestly. Requires less effort. The trolls that come through here are TRYING SO HARD. It must take them so much energy to be posting negativity for months on end. They actively search for positive threads like this one and then do their thing.

At this point, I just laugh. It's funny seeing "Blocked user" so much.

These fundamentally change the look and behavior of npcs, crowds, and even unique nps.
That seems rather significant to me.

Those are only two of the mods that rather dramatically enhance the game.

Yeah, this is what I use for npcs/crowds. I didn't want a thread to spam a bunch of mod links taking up the entire thread. Though I did name some of the ones I use.

I felt I needed to counter one of the trolls' statements that there were no mods that significantly change the game, which is demonstrably a lie. I could list a dozen more but like you say, it would be spamming most likely and thinking people should be able to make themselves aware.

btw, I have over 700 mods in SE with a heavy ENB and DynDOLOD at ultra settings with fps capped at 59 and Havok has not given me a single hiccup. Your experience may vary of course, just relating my own.
