All the bug fixes and workarounds I have found <The biggies and the worst>
Please use this thread to constructively assist each other with relatively proven solutions, to bugs. Please, for the love of all that is holy, don't attack each other's opinions... Just offer working fixes and workarounds.

NOTE, Some of these bugs have been advertised to have been patched by Bethesda. Personally, I do not accept a claim without testing, and some are difficult to test as the conditions may not repeat for a long time or at all. Some fixes which were claimed to have been fixed, are still occurring. PLEASE, don't argue that a bug is fixed, UNTIL you have reasonably proved it to BE fixed...

1. Ship shield bug
This very annoying bug affects many people and gradually decreases the shield value until the ship becomes virtually unusable. A value which starts at something like 2400 or so, depending on base shield strength, will reduce the shield to values of 600 or below.

Workaround - I have heard many fixes, and tried them to have them NOT work. The solution I found from another user on a thread, which so far, over a week, has worked.
Disable ALL auto-saving, auto-save on rest, wait, travel, pause, EVERYTHING. In combination I also do not save while ON my ship, with one notable exception which I will go into on another bug.

2. Becoming stuck under the landing bay of ship when you exit the ship.

Fix - Tested over 500 hours of game-play.
Never build a ship that is so long, the end juts over the landing pad in Jemison. After doing this I never experienced this bug again.

3. When transporting passengers, one or more becomes stuck on the ship and will not leave.

Fix - Tested for hundreds of hours.
ONE, when you arrive as a standard SOP, leave your seat, walk to the ship exit, and leave the ship and wait for the passengers to get off. Inspect your ship like any captain would for stowaways before you leave the planet in ANY transport mission. Just call it immersion, and act like a captain does on any ship, usually waiting by the gangplank for passengers to disembark. TWO, if you forgot to do step one, look in your completed quests, find the location your passenger should have left your ship, and return, giving them a chance to hopefully disembark.

4. Form ID bug. (The dreaded...) When you get this bug, you cannot travel by any means. The game is effectively over and you CAN NOT go anywhere from your last save.

WORKAROUND - Tested over 500 hours.
Go to your last, working save game, and proceed immediately to NG+. This is the ONLY known solution.

5. Your jump-pack no longer boosts, jet-pack stops working.

Fix - Tested many times
Unequip, then re-equip jet pack. If this does not work, reload saved game.

6. Items you decorate your ship with become stuck inside furniture, disappear, or are embedded halfway between shelves, etc

Workaround - Tested over hundreds of hours. Seems to work 90% of the time at least.
FIRST, after building/designing/modifying your ship WAIT to decorate until the random clutter effects occurs.
NEXT, decorate all the habs you want to. Get it all done at once if possible, as this workaround MAY interfere with other fixes, because it entails saving while on board your ship. Once you have everything as you want it, THEN save the game while ON your ship. Exit the ship, walk hundreds or yards from your ship, then reload the last saved game.

7. Cora does not leave your ship after dismissing Same Coe.

Fix - Tested a few times.
First unassign Sam Coe. DON'T send him to an outpost, just the lodge. He should return to the lodge. THEN, go to the Lodge until you see Cora. Once you SEE Cora a the lodge, she should be off your ship.

8. TWOFER Bug and workaround.
Ship power settings wildly fluctuating. (Also, annoying, irritable crew members.)

Workaround - Tested a few times.
Don't use ANY Constellation crew, but Vasco. There are plenty of non Constellation, NAMED crew scattered around the planets. The bonuses are not as high, but they ALSO do not constantly demand you speak to them, they don't tend to get angry at everything you do either. And IMO they are generally more pleasant, polite, and respectful. (Not constantly demanding, judgmental, drama queens.)

MANY MINOR BUGS

Fix - MANY bugs are fixed by simply saving, and reloading the save.
List of bugs fixed by this -
Crafting station unusable/inaccessible.
Jet pack bug already mentioned.
Avatar Invisible head bug.
And many more...

These are the MAJOR bugs which caused me the most grief, but not all bugs possible.

Other bugs I do not have a specific fix for yet, or REPORTEDLY fixed by Bethesda.

Form ID bug. NOTE, Bethesda DID NOT announce this bug is FIXED. They reported changes to the manner in which form IDs are loaded from saves, which may lessen the occurrence of the bug. My understanding of this bug, is it is a part of how objects are tracked, so there is no complete fix, but to completely change how objects are tracked, OR strictly limit WHAT items are tracked, so that the number of tracked items does not exceed the "limit." IMO to really fix this, without a severe overhaul, the game simply would have to reset MOST of the locations once you leave them and return, and ONLY track items at very limited locations such as SHIP, OUTPOST, and personal property, and NOWHERE ELSE. And THAT may not even be severe enough to keep this bug from occurring, as you can have so many ships, outposts, and personal homes. The magic number for form IDS, tracked items, is I believe 5 million total. And this point, you encounter the bug.

Poison gas going into your ship on the landing pad at outpost. Reported by Bethesda to have been fixed, but I have not tested.

"Bulldozed" items, usually flora, re-appear inside your outpost habs. These can sometimes completely block your movement through the hab. REPORTEDLY fixed by Bethesda but I have not tested yet.

Items clinging to your ship, such as asteroids, planetary fauna, and apparently even entire cities. REPORTEDLY fixed by Bethesda. But note, it was reported to be fixed before, and had to be fixed again. I have not personally seen this bug, and cannot report it is fixed myself.

Again, I know some people feel it is productive to attack each other, rather than ask for bugs to be fixed, but please, just be gamers instead of toolbags, MKAY?

Feel free, and please do, suggest additional fixes, offer any corrections.
(PROVEN fixes and INFORMED criticism, please, not the standard, "maybe it's your PC?" or untested things that are quickly proven not to work...)

And on another note, BETHESDA... I'm not getting paid for this, but YOU ARE! Please STEP UP! If I can try and assist YOUR CUSTOMERS FOR FREE, you should be doing a LOT more to fix bugs, SUPPORT YOUR CUSTOMERS, communicate AT LEAST workarounds, and add content. You are raking in hundreds of millions of dollars for this, SUPPORT YOUR PRODUCT!!!

So nice effort. The FormID bug is supposed to be fixed in this latest patch.

They did tinker with how the game saves recently, I wonder if it fixed the shield issue.
I would assume, I would need to build an entirely new ship from scratch.
I havent jumped in for awhile now; being only value left in the game would be dogfights.

NOTE
After two weeks my shields have not bugged out, after turning off all autosave options. So it seems confirmed this does resolve the ship shields bug as a workaround.
I also stopped saving the game, and leveling up skill points while on my ship, as these have also been noted to possibly cause the bug.
