Crashing when I try to leave the Mantis Lair

Anyone else having this issue, and any work arounds out there?

ETA: Normal game, no mods, trying to exit is when it crashes, can't make it to the ship. Have tried fast traveling back to the lair and it still crashes.

Normal game or NG+?

Running any mods?

Going out through the entrance or the exit?

Crashing when you leave the lair or try to leave on the ship?

Leaving on your ship or the Razorleaf?

I could keep going, but point is you're giving us very little to work with here.

Take your own ship out of there.

I've never flown the Mantis ship, but it's always been in my inventory.

when you say 'Exit', as you go back to the main entrance? Or use the Elevator?

When I go back to the main entrance. I can fast travel to other locations on the planet, off planet... but I cannot go back to the lair.

The main one, and the Elevator one.

So, to make it clear: When you try the front door, the game crash?

Try the Elevator.

Yeah, it's crashing at all the major cities and just won't let me do anything outside of lading at minor points of interest on other planets.

So much for the updates fixing anything.

It did.

The issue could be your save is corrupted.

Verified the files, no issue there.... but I'm reinstalling anyway... but, if the issues are still occurring, and people are still having to jump through these hoops to play... then the update didn't really fix it.

From what i can read it seem to be something that clogs up on you, it may be ram related?.. Like your on bare minimum in ram to run the game and as result it clogs up and cant process enough fast enough. Could be a Speed issue maybe... *scratches his brushy chin* might be worth looking into maybe

If your all out of options. You can try updating (or reinstalling) your graphic card drivers.

My line of reasoning is this. Mantis lair is on a Frozen planet. On the off chance you rolled snow storm on exit, it could be a graphical glitch of some sort.

OR, another option is to sleep for 24 hours (there is a bed down in the Living part. See if that does something.

scripts fail hard when they fail. Like the walter isn't here but talk to walter one that pretty much is game over. I wonder if something is borked with your mantis elevator (the ship to the surface) script... try reloading the last couple of saves inside the lair, assuming you have a couple of older saves, even if you have to fight a robot again or something....

It is always better to load a savegame before you reach the destination.
But I find it strange anyway that the OP can land there and then not come out of the lair again. The only difference I notice is actually the Razorleaf, which is now outside and has been in the player fleet since then. I hope there's still room for the Razorleaf in the fleet.

I had the game lock up and crash here also, but I just reloaded and it worked the second time. Not very helpful, I know, but you’re not alone.

Try to find a crash protocol in the windows event log and post it here. MAybe there are more errors at the same or nearly the same time. Post these aswell. And there are some things you can do until someone looks at your new infos:

Check your temperatures, check your SSD health, take out all the RAM sticks, run a vacuum along the sockets and put them back in (carefully!), close every other programm you don't need, especially every third party AV-software and test again, update all the drivers.
