Anyone like "Sense Star Stuff"??
Its the most used power based on BGS's survey from last year. If anyone can find that link, thanks.

TBH, I don't like the name "sense star stuff". I can never remember it because its just a stupid name for what it does. I would ask BGS to change it to "detect life" because that's what it does and its how I think of it.

Any other suggestions? I'll consider all serious and silly recommendations.

"Detect life" is how the exact same spell is named in TES so I guess they felt like they had to find something else.

Its easily one of the most useful powers for clearing facilities and boarded ships.

Wholeheartedly concur. I LOVE it for wandering thru various places, and being able to 'see' what the baddies are doing, or, are about to do. :D They always seem surprised when they catch a bullet to the face every time they stick their head around a corner. :D

'Gut Feeling' ?

'Sentience Sense' ?

You can see non sentient beings as well with that power (all living animals). Useful for surveying fauna / safari hunting too.

Fauna Radar? A truly creative name for this function would replace "detect life" in our minds. Sense Star Stuff is not it.

I always took the name of the power to be an awkward reference to Carl Sagan

As for the power itself the only time I ever used it is in the Ryujin building during the quest where you have the infiltrate the building and bug a computer and it wasn't even that useful as a lot of times I couldn't determine which direction an NPC was facing based on the sparkles.

Excellent trivia! I'm willing to bet that's where they got the phrase. But it is awkward, because technically even the robots are made of Star Stuff so it shouldn't be a distinction between life and non-life.

If you know who Carl Sagan is, this game even has a star named after him. This game is forcing a particular ideology down your throat.

Do you try to derail every thread with politics or just this one?

Here's the best part about that particular quest: Just use an EM gun. No sneaking necessary. About halfway through I got tired of sneaking around and pulled out my EM gun. Stunned everyone. took everything i needed, and waltzed out the front door without a single penalty.

Is this the bit here that worries you?
