But again, as for the core gameplay loop - same as it ever was. Wait 1-2 years, get it on >50% discount. You'll know then if the modding community has had any interest on fixing/improving the game, and whether or not the DLC were worth it.
It's a single-player game, so there's no fear of missing out on it. Quite the contrary - you're doing yourself a favor waiting.

IF this thing is on a 75% off sale AND if you want a loading screen simulator to help put you to sleep AND if you have no other games that you are mildly interested in... then go for it.
