Start Over/New Playthrough After Update?
Hi guys. With each major update for this game, is it best to start a new save/new playthrough? Or, is it safe to continue with a previous save? I am still on my first playthrough of game. Thoughts and help appreciated :)

Best is to uninstall and play a quality game.

Theoretically, your save should be just fine. If you used mods though, all bets are off.... If you used SFSE, then any mods that depend on it, will need to be updated. (including SFSE...)

I've only played vanilla so far, and I've continued with a previous save. So far no problems. The graphics is now 'wow', and sandstorms have me rubbing my eyes. The FPS for me has gone up to 150 on planets and is a steady 80-85 in Neon and New Atlantis. I'm loving it.

What hardware are you playing on?

if you don't have any Mods installed, then I would say its be better to continue. Because this game is Huge, and you could end up starting over and over and never going farther in.

But if you do have mods, then some could be broken. But its up to you. I'm not starting over since this is my 2nd playthrough already and my saves seem fine so far :)

Will be fine if you don't use mods. I had my NG++ game sitting and it's fine.

Edit: I take it back, my weapons are all broken in my vanilla save. The game's acting like their ID's got changed.

I'm playing it modded. I launch the game through Vortex so my game won't update yet. I will wait until SFSE and the collection I have installed is updated, then I will update the game. Prefer it to stay the way I have it for now cause everything works and gameplay is smooth.

Someone's asking a legit question. Not asking for your opinion my guy. Just move on and forget about the game

I use quite a few mods, and I was able to to just continue my save without any issues. I did need to wait a day for some of my mods to get updated that needed it, but otherwise it's been fine to continue where I left off. However, I can't say that's been the same experience for everyone who uses mods. Some have had to completely reinstall the game and disable a lot of their mods that just don't work anymore.
