"Achievement Friendly" disables achievements.
Just a heads up, that new creation club mission disables achievements despite saying it doesn't.

Correct except the mods the topic creator is referring to say they are "Achievement Friendly" IE they should not disable achievements and are not meant to do so, these are mods made by Bethesda themselves.

I'm just annoyed that so much in the Creation Club disables achievements when I don't recall any Creation Club content doing that in Fallout 4.

I also haven't gotten the 10 dollars worth of CC I paid for when they went live, either.

Yeah I don't see the point of mods disabling achievements in general, tbh. Like oh no, you got to level 10 with a red dress your achievement isn't real! There's no actual achievements in games anymore these days.. "reach level 10, complete the game, collect 100 coins"

You can download the Achievement Enabler if you so wish so you can still get achievemnts with mods installed. I use one that doesnt need any other external or extra Nexus mod/file downloads. Just throw it in the folder where the Starfield.exe is and away you go. https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/1402?tab=description

Once in game do a test save first and make sure there is no "m" on that save. Also when you first load a save, with mods usually it comes up with a warning about disabling achievements, if that doesnt come up when starting a save file it should be working

Not sure if it's working as when I tried installing it, when I launched the gaem I got some sort of error message related to that mod.

worst case scenario I can always use sam to give myself all the achievements when I'm done with the game
It says when you enter creations that they disable achievements...

Did the same for FO4 and Skyrim.

^This. It specifically states the first time you enter that creation kit content disables achievements unless stated otherwise.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

My save with the 3 free "achievement friendly" creations ("observatory", "tarborn gravis suit" and "Blackout drumbeat skin") didn't get the [M] tag so I assume achievements are still working (haven't tested tho).

What creations did you install and did your save become a [M] save ?

Actually the new tag is [C] for [CREATIONS] (modded saves are called that way now, even if you just used commands)

So get the achievement enabler mod that doesn't use Starfield script extender. It's updated as of yesterday. You just drop it in the main directory where the EXE is.

Would be cool if there would be an achievement enabler mod inside Creations
hachuurui Jul 23, 2024 @ 3:34pm
I'm not sure if this helps the devs but I had the same issue after deleting the file ContentCatalog.txt from my appdata/local/starfield folder to fix the creation club. Since I restored that file, I cannot load the creation club now, but the Achievement friendly mods I have installed from bethesda no longer cancel achievements with the file present.

I should also note, that I bought my version via the xbox store not steam. Just mentioning this here in case it helps them track the source of the issue

Bethesda probably blocks those mods from being in creations club. If you're on pc you can just use nexus
