My outpost beacon is lying about which resources are available... Help?
I've been trying to get into outposts. Every tutorial and guide basically says:
Find seam between biomes. Hover beacon on spot until it says "resources available: shiatloads", then place beacon, then build extractors.
My problem is that my beacon is lying to me. It says I have 3-4 resources available, but when I've placed it, there are no places to place my extractors. No veins anywhere... What's wrong? Anyone recognize this problem?

I haven't had this happen to me, but......
are the resources showing up when you scan?

You can place the beacon, then check you build menu. It will only show you extractors for the available resources. You may be better going into overheard view when looking to place the extractors. If no resources are available you can dismantle the beacon and recover all the materials. Move and try another location.

gas extractors not show resource spots but related extractors (if you place into outpost area) work cause gases are in the "air"

I don't know why this isn't working for me. The beacon says resources available x,y.z. The extractors are available for building, so that fits. The problem is that I can't place the extractors anywhere, because there are no resources available.
I have a couple of mods active that affect build menu, so maybe that's where the problem is coming for. Anyway, as suggested, I can always dismantle beacon and go elsewhere.

Well your mods are likely the issue then, dont know when you got hold of them but with the latest game version a whole bunch did no longer work and had too either be adjusted by their authors or deleted. Sadly a whole lot choose to abandon and as such you can get hold of mods that not even work atm.

I would go trough them one by one, at some point youre bound to deactive the right one that is cause of your issues

The veins or gasses are sometimes difficult to find and take a good bit of time to seek out. I think once or twice I did have issues like you are having however.

Yup. Twice now. That's how I discovered that latest game version killed off lots of mods and modders.

Oh, no. I really really like the game. I just have to find the balance between using cool mods and not making original stuff break or malfunction.

Sounds similar to my Husbandry issues. I can't get them to work, even when supplied with the correct mats and an outlink to a storage etc. They spawn things fine, even spawn fish at my outpost, but zero mats ever collected. ( Older save, who knows, might be why )
