Lvl scaling in particular is an aberration. If you're not careful lvling up will most likely be a straight downgrade for your character.
Will most likely require a lot of mods to be even bearable.
Having said that, Oblivion is not the best TES game ever (Morrowind). If you prefer spaceships to horses then clearly, stick with SF.

But they really aren't similar games. Oblivion has some good memorables Quest to it.
I also think its aged well in comparaison to Skyrim who need mods to look good nowadays Lol.
if you want engaging story then go Oblivion. If you want Sandbox and space pew pew (which is also fun), Starfield. You could always play oblivion till they release the next update.
