Storgae?!
I am a relative new player. I think I got the the jist of this game, for the most part. One VERY aggravating thing for me has been storage. Everything is full. Me, my partner, my ship. It's all "resources" I haven't come across anything else worth keeping. But I am still very early on in the crafting part, I used my points for other things when I started out. Is the answer to just make storage bins and put them in my outposts? It doesn't look like those are connected to me or the ship in any capacity. I've already forgot where I put one outpost. Is there a way to track where your outposts are? Seems very easy to get a lot of outposts and it seems handling those could ruin the fun of this game. Looking for advice on storage please.

In New Atlantis there is The Lodge, you have a room there but the greatest part... in the cellar you can find all workbenches and a research station. Just behind that research station is a small box. It has unlimited room and wil never reset. This box is THE safeplace to store your items.

It's inconvenient but there is a box in the basement of the Lodge that can hold everything. Dump it all in there and pull it out to research and craft. For anything else, you need a massive flying dumpster or a cheat command to make you superman.

On the Star map, systems where you have an outpost will have a symbol by them. Zoom into that system, and it will show you which planet/moon the outpost is on.

All the boxes in the basement of the lodge are unlimited safe storage, so you can do some minor sorting using them. Also unlimited storage safe in your bedroom at the lodge. Put all your stuff in your pockets then land at The Lodge. It is a short trudge to the storage when over loaded.

Plus, once your ship improves you can easily add 10k storage on it. That will keep you going for a while.

Thank you. I have been renaming my outposts to what they are producing ( I just noticed I could do that) so it will also stand out a lot easier. Simple stuff i know, but i didnt know I could even do that.
Loving this game so far.

I would use a house or flat but the lack of Just one unlimited store like we get at the lodge makes it totally impractical.. I was hoping they would fix that.

If you don't mind using a console command, you can create an unlimited container anywhere you want.

First, place the container where you want it. Now manoeuvre the player to where the container is prominently visible on screen. Engage the command console and click on the container. (You will be presented with a hexadecimal code in the centre of the screen. This code must be prefixed by 'CONT' or else you have clicked in the wrong place. NOTE: Sometimes, you will have to crouch to get to the sweet spot on some containers.) Now type this command: [hexadecimal code].setav carryweight 0.0. Press 'enter' and close the command console. Now the container should have infinite storage.

I put one infinite storage container in each of my homes and outposts. For me, the convenience is a great benefit.
