anyone using a Logitech G502 (X?) without issues, and, if so, how?
Starfield doesn't recognize that my G7 and G8 buttons (on the left side of LMB), or the DPI shift button (at tip of thumb) exist. Even when those buttons have keys bound to them through G Hub, they aren't recognized as keys, or at all, even though outside of Starfield those buttons will function as those keys just fine.

EDIT: Starfield also ignores the left and right scrollwheel buttons, which I don't use often but they can be convenient.

The G4 and G5 buttons (at the side of thumb) are recognized, but always as MOUSE4 and MOUSE5. The keys they've been set to are ignored, though, as with the buttons above, they function fine outside of Starfield.

Just curious if this a general issue, or if there's some way to get Starfield to stop ignoring those buttons. Having 2 buttons along the side of LMB has become a requirement for me, even if it kinda restricts my options when looking for a new mouse (and nothing has met the bar set by the G700/G700S, but mine's busted and I'm not paying collector's prices). Starfield's refusal to let me use them at all is pretty frustrating.

I vaguely remember a few other games doing this, but not specifically which. The vast majority of games let the buttons-as-keys approach work, and even if they prevent some keys from being bound they at least recognize new keys when I rebind them in G Hub.

EDIT: I know G Hub has a preset for Starfield, but this relies on the default bindings and is a lot less flexible due to how commands are grouped together. I just want to rebind everything and use every button, which is what most games let me do.

I'm gonna say I've only ever had issues with Logitech. Headphones, mouses they all fail or start ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up quick.

I use a G502 , no series. I think it may be too old to have a series number. No problems. no issues. All programmable buttons work on all my games with different presets. Your mouse may be dying. Try deleting and reloading the base program is the only suggestion I can give.

Will consider reinstalling G Hub, but it seems pretty unlikely to be a hardware thing. Mouse is too new, and the buttons are definitely physically working, and other games recognize them without issues. Can even type here with the keys I've bound to them.

It is weird that it's not consistent, though maybe the X series specifically has a problem. Could open a ticket with Logitech. Could also open a ticket with Bethesda, but won't expect a speedy response or fix to that.
