I said before my first ban (november?) that Bethesda would use the CK and dlc as a carrot on a stick to keep up sales. So far I wasnt wrong.
Everyone would’ve been screaming for a loading screen.
Are you all still connected to reality?
Here's a reality check for you. The game has hit over 13 million players[www.windowscentral.com]. The game was expected to make $1 billion for Bethesda and Microsoft[www.forbes.com], and all reaction from them seems to indicate it's on course to do that.
Now, care to explain why thoughts about DLC or even a possible sequel is so unrealistic?
Because the game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks. Everyone was excited, bought it, played it and the huge majority of people were disappointed.
The sheer fact that it was an initial success means absolutely nothing for upcoming DLCs or even a second game. Most players abandoned it and would not buy further content.
You are mistaken if you think these numbers mean anything for the future of this IP. The daily player numbers and the horrible steam critics speak for itself: This game is dead.
Also the player count being below asset flip mobile games is a good signal that there wont be a Stafailed 2 or any DLC beyond what we already paid for?
Wheres my DLC todd???
My evidence are the number of daily players and the steam ratings of this game.
Do you actually think, they drop a DLC and suddenly millions of disappointed players come back?
This won't have a comeback like Cyberpunk. Cyberpunk was broken to the core technically. Starfield is broken to the core mechanically and story wise.
I don't know why you don't see the ultra low player numbers and draw a simple conclusion: Most players abandoned this game and won't come back.
Contrary, what is YOUR evidence, everything turns to the better and they throw out multiple DLCS?
Sorry, you have just shown you have absolutely no idea what a 'fact ' is.
DLC 1:
qol, vehicle, new dungeon template, few new weapon
$10-20, mostly negative ~ mix
DLC 2:
one space station city, few quest
new procedural space station (dungeon) require player must fly by and will trigger spaceship fight
dungeon focus on 0g fight
$30-50, mix ~ positive
They’re known for releasing games and then abandoning them if the reviews in the first 6 months aren’t favourable.
Look at Fallout76.
That got hammered in the months after release so Bethesda dumped it and never looked at it again.
It never recovered and now is a dead game, just as the trolls predicted.
We should listen to them more often because they’ve never been proved to be wrong.
My sentiments entirely, they spent years developing an amazing backdrop and some very good ideas, but the money men came in and wanted a quick return of their investment and voila we end up with far too much obvious cut and paste, lame boring quests that consist of little more than "go here then go there"
In between there are some glimpses of what should have been (books that open quest lines, finding a seemingly random POI that spawns a quest line)
This is an amazing game that is waiting to be finished and there is an almost unlimited potential to how great that finish can be
