Outpost resource disappeared?
I built my first outpost and it had 5 resources showing when I placed the beacon. I had to go get some resources to build things and when I got back there are only 4 extractors in the build menu?
Looking around it seems like this is an unfixed bug? Anyone find a solution or am I stuck needing another outpost?

Also is there a quick way to find these spots other than trial and error landing at the edges of resource blobs? Took ages to find a 5 resource spot and given the limited number of outposts available it seems difficult to cover all the resources needed.

For context I've built somewhere around 60 Outposts in about 1,500 hours (across 2 NG+'s) but I have never lost an extractor at an Outpost. The most resources I've ever set up to be mined at one of my outposts is 3.

It was the resource that disappeared before I could place an extractor. Although I've read they can disappear afterwards too.
Maybe I'm being greedy with 5 resources but I'd read this wasn't unusual. It's just annoying to see one disappear - especially as moving the beacon doesn't appear to change the radius or list the resources again.
I can't see a way to delete it either to start over? I guess I'll try and find the Helium somewhere else.

You can delete an outpost by getting near the marker and holding R (on PC). I am not sure on Xbox. Be sure to hold it because the same key is for rename also I believe.

You can delete anything you build including the beacon itself.

Enter the builder as you normally would then enter "Modify Mode" which on a Controller is to tap the "B" button and on KB/M is TAB iirc.

Once in Modify Mode you can walk up to a module and will eventually be able to see the Delete option. On a Controller I hold X (tap to rename) and I'm not sure about KB/M but I believe it's "R".

Note: while in modify mode you also can Move modules.

If you build outposts, never ever leave before you have built all the extractors you want.
Save before building the outpost. If it turns out you dont have enough materials to build all the extractors you want, load save, get materials.
This mostly happens to such ressources that are located on the edge of an outpost, but rarely also to spots right inside the outpost zone.
The best way to build outposts is to do it out of a _huge_ (8k+ cargohold) C-class freighter loaded with building materials. Carefull planning appears to be the only way to avoid this bug, or at least 'plug it's teeth'...

Yes I think that seems to be the only option. In a way I'm glad I found it with my first outpost.
Hopefully a few bug fixes will give the game some polish.
