The CK will be done when it is done. Hopefully by the end of the year, as projected but it may be longer - it is a huge undertaking.
Skyrim was released in 2011, It just had its latest update. Let that sink in.
No one ever said this... People assumed it would be around February/March as that would put it about 6 months after release...
Bethesda have not actually put out any official statement on when it would drop... Same goes for the first DLC...

They made this change as too many people were complaining they were too far away, and that they had to spend that extra few moments running to POI's, so they placed them closer to where your ship landed, in doing so it reduced room for ships to land...
Blame the rest of the community and their need for instant gratification -- which is rather ironic, as that's the basis of your complaint here --, not Bethesda...
You can still disable and board ships in space if you want to capture ships...
