getting shot at in Guilty Parties quest

after giving Dalton the slate from Nyx, ryujin security immediately opens fire on me if I have Sarah Morgan as my follower. someone mentioned use Vasco, so I siwtched to him, I got as far as talking to Yuko on the Operations floor but then, ryujin security opens fire mid-conversation and I can't complete the Talk to yuko task.

anyone know a workaround?

Maybe try it without a companion in tow. Send them all back to your ship.

I think that was what I did once as well
