Actual question about getting the Kryx legacy

I play with pc game pass. Getting really annoyed with this game.
Put the 2 upgrades on my ship. The ship they give you when you became a Ranger. (on Akila).
I can approach the Legacy but can't get a docking option. Grrr. I keep getting the target lock option instead. Doesn't matter whether I press E or R.
And then a few seconds later my ship explodes. This is getting really annoying. Tried it soooo many freaking times.

Like a few others, I am trying to like this game but it keeps making it difficult.

Try installing TWO or more of the resistance equipment on your ship.

All I can say is that I did not have that problem. I approached it at the appropriate point in the quest with the attachments, docked and completed the quest.

as long as you took the upgrades from Jazz it shouldn't be an issue. I completed that quest 3 times already without a hitch.

After getting the upgrades give your engines max power, approach and dock quickly. Going slow is very, very bad. Leaving the Legacy is much more forgiving.

Stronger shields could help
Make sure it is the Legacy and not Kryx's ship you have targeted. I did that once, so thought I'd mention it

I have to briefly interject here that in my last game the neon shield failed even though it was installed and my ship was constantly taking damage. However, I was able to dock and it was no longer a problem afterwards. Let me put it this way: I just about managed it...

However, it was also the first time I had this upgrade installed on 3 of my favorite ships and possibly only the last EM shield built for Bannoc IV worked. Just a thought... and just thrown in *g*

Thanks for the replies everyone. Came home from work last night and fired up the game and docked with the Legend first try. Not sure what the problem was but it was obviously a me problem.
