No more LEGO Ships plz..
Hello Guys, I do not intend to offend or disparage any moders. I do what I am going to tell you out of respect but with a serious attitude and with the intention of providing criticism that I believe is constructive and positive for everyone. Until when we are going to have to go crazy trying to follow tutorials and instructions that not all of us understand or do not have enough knowledge to build ships that are in my opinion horrible, made of absurdly deformed modules and that do not provide us with aerodynamic ships, more than one looks like a Hamburger steering wheel. I think that at Bethesda the graphic developers forgot to create ships that we constantly see in films or in other games that I will not name, I insist, aesthetically they are surreal, ugly and an eternal headache... We need different pieces, easier to assemble and that they result in ships with different roles but that look authentic... or simply that they design them and each player either obtains them or builds them if they wish. Enough flying in LEGO-type ships... Greetings and I hope I have contributed an idea that I think is very important. Gentlemen, Bethesda graphic designers, please be a little serious and design ships, let's say... something more realistic, I hope that it will be possible in the next updates. A special greeting and thank you for your effort, dear community of Moders who make magic with the few limited tools you have, I insist, with respect, but with a critical and realistic attitude, I do not intend to offend, I am just trying to redirect errors that I see, more aerodynamics for please and no more LEGOLAND. I Mean something like this.. In case you haven't said it, the one I'm referring to is Logically (Starfield) https://forums.nexusmods.com/uploads/monthly_2024_02/image.png.7bbab5cdba3bcd566be59a9d3fea798b.png ..https://forums.nexusmods.com/topic/13468933-no-more-lego-ships-plz/ This is what I mean, and without meaning to offend, one is a real ship, with aerodynamic and compact lines that Bethesda should have included, not the same but similar, meticulously crafted and unfortunately the other is a headache and a desperate attempt of a magnificent Moder of imitating it with inadequate tools, with meaningless modules that look more like LEGO pieces, I have come to see ships that looked like authentic "Flying hamburgers, I insist... with all due respect, before launching a game make sure that no moder has to do his job, to whom I send a cordial greeting and all my respects. Please, that the graphic department corresponding to boat design does not give up and surprise us in future updates with new parts for those who want to build your own boat but also think about increasing the level of details (Aerodynamics, more authentic designs and materials, metal alloys... etc.) Regards..

May I introduce you to the return key? It's shaped like a dog leg.

Ok l'll just say the "enter" or "return" key then but thanks for ruining my blatant attempt at sarcasm.

Starfield ships are in no way ment to be aerodynamic for atmo flight. They are Rocket ships.
Hybrid style ships do not even fit in with the way the ships move through entry/reentry
Much closer to Space X
The Expanse is a great example as well

its true that it need better ship parts, to create really somthing.
But wth you need aerodynamics for? that thing there between planets called space there is no air. The only air you got is when landing or starting but tehre you need no aerodynamic

Are you trying to tell me a rocket doesn't have to be aerodynamic? You do realise rocket science is a real thing, right?

The Lego nature works closer to the way our current space tech goes. Modular is King. If you cannot repurpose it, it is garbage. It was also the inspiration for the games tech. They are far more realistic than your link.

There's no air in space last I checked. Why do we need aerodynamic?

Getting off a planet's surface, escaping gravity and dealing with atmospheres.

Not a single scifi franchise has ships that actually follow aerodynamics unless it uses real world rocket and shuttle designs. Starfield is not any worse or better in this regard.

Also, as soon as your scifi franchise has horizontal deck plan instead of vertical, it no longer can claim any degree of realism. Starfield also is not any worse or better than others in this regard.

I dunno Star destroyers, and Mon cal ships are pretty aerodynamic from Star Wars.

Have any of you here played space engineers?
I so so wish that SF had given us proper base blocks, with full rotation through all 6 points.

And yes, without a fully functioning gravity manipulation field and a gravity generator, you'd definitely want your deck vertical from the main drive cones, simply because thrust generates g forces which is like gravity in your ship.

The other pet peeve, is not having thrusters in opposite pairings L/R, F/B, T/B because if you want to maneuver in space you need thrusters set up in such a manner.

I actually might reinstall space engineers and take some screenshots of the block types for modders to look at.

its a really good game if you like to build.
For the modders dont think they need it, they will eventually do it but need the proper kit for it first. At the moment tehre mostly only replacer, better snapping and some other things for ships to build what was ingame (like m class colony ship parts) For insert really new parts i think they need that creator engine (forget the name)
