My Steam mods are working on Gamepass?

A bit of a weird one. I originally played Starfield on Gamepass, then decided to get it on Steam to use mods. Earlier today, I thought I might go back into Gamepass to finish out my only remaining achievement there, reaching level 100.

I was a bit taken aback though to discover that the mods I had installed for my Steam copy seemed to be working on the Gamepass version. The characters I had available were definitely the ones from my earlier Gamepass playthroughs.

What I'm wondering is if my save is now marked as modded. It seemed like all of the mods are working, but what I understood was that SFSE and mods that depend on it (such as the achievement re-enabler) can't work on Gamepass. How do I check to make sure before I sink several more hours into getting that last achievement?

I use Vortex if that matters.

I didnt look into too much myself. But I know there was some mod based cross support for supporting both versions.Worth looking into. If you had an achev mode on steam and it crossed over you would be ok.

You will have to check each one's requirements and see if SFSE is required downstream in any of them. Plugins.txt wasn't working properly on Game Pass 6 months ago but I can't say now. You might want to double check. Other than that, they should work. Good luck sorting it out.

EDIT: LOL I completely misunderstood your question. A Steam save won't load on Game Pass and a Game Pass save needs to be converted to load on Steam. You should be in the same state on Game Pass and you were the last time you played it.
