Nope. I mostly ignored this mission because none of the outcomes are satisfying. It's easily my most hated mission in the game. I played through to see the outcomes and reloaded. There's no point to doing this mission in any manner, even for completionist sake.

You should be able to clear that one without her, or hiring anyone else. The MQ gives you the five Constellation members plus Moara, Lin, and Heller. Betty is free. Then either Amelia or Hadrian from missions.

IS it one play or can it be over a couple ng+?

You should be able to clear that one without her, or hiring anyone else. The MQ gives you the five Constellation members plus Moara, Lin, and Heller. Betty is free. Then either Amelia or Hadrian from missions.

That's a very short list, you didn't even mention Rafael from Nishina, or the dozens of random folks you can hire from the bars...getting to 10 is really quite simple...Will Janet even join you? I've completed that quest at least half a dozen times and never once saw the option to recruit her. It's the one side quest from the ECS Constant that actually always works, the "Talk to Abe" series has been broken since launch, though on one single play through (counting NG+ and different characters that's 1 out of about 25 total) I did manage to complete all the letter deliveries glitch free.

I was a bit disappointed earlier when I found no option to recruit after assuming she would be available. But it does leave her hanging since she says she has some business to finish. Maybe she will show up at New Atlantis sometime in the future. Sort of like Genghis after his liberation.

I did find the guy for the letters but it never triggered the quests.

I jumped out thinking it may help but on return ECS was gone.

I ran into her her in NA on a previous universe. She gave me a letter to give to her sister.

Well, I did mention not hiring. I assumed he was deliberately not going that route.

I don't think they all count toward companions. I hired about five from bars for the crew. But I think they have to be companions that go with you on quests and not assigned by the game.

I've gotten Barrett, Andreja and Sara all to max affinity.
I've had Sam, Heller and Lin both on crew and companion trips.
There was a gal from Cydonia and a guy from Aggie's in Akila.

So i have to be close unless it's on a single play through.

Don't know and can't test, but other achievements work over NG+. The Stars My Destination counts the number of new stars visited in total, and your second visit in NG+1 counts.

Get one from ranger line, Ameila from that quest line, Smuggler lady from the Key (Mathis as well if you stick to the fleet), few others

Maybe hired crew don't count. I popped the achievement with the MQ people plus Amelia and Betty, who are mission rewards.

So I started rotating through people again just to make sure. Forgot about Vasco so had him for a mission.

On other news the ECS Constant showed up in the Cheyenne system. They still don't know where they are going but have some different dialog. Could not find the gal who I purchased her freedom with a sack of potatoes.

Just save your game and hire a bunch of cheap randos at the bars in Atlantis.Then reload when you got your cheevo.

Genghis is my kind of crazy. Wish we could have him as a companion instead of Amelia.

Commander tuala is another one is wish we would have as a companion.
