mod tools
I beat the game and am just waiting for the mod tools since Bethesda was scared to lean into the fun parts of the game and just dipped their toes in it. the gun play is so fun but it feels like the game activly wants you to not shoot people so i want a mod that allows your to fight as much as you want. also the ship combat is so much fun espsally in large scale their is 1 mission in the game that has large scale ship combat

Are you referring to a chapter of the main quest? There's a couple of side missions with big space battles as well.

What do people mean when they say they 'beat the game?' Is that something younger people say? If they, gods forbid, ever read and finish a book, do they say they 'beat the book?'

I assume going through the Unity counts as "beat the game", which is why he's missed out on a lot of additional, more interesting quests.

No, I'm asking what the phrase means. You're not competing against the 'game', so how do you 'beat' it?

Only he can answer that, but it would be more accurate to say "completed the MQ"

It harkens back to the olden days.
Games were designed to where few if any could finish them
It was the design intent

Reminds me of the novel, "Ready Player One" I'm old enough to appreciate it.

I would love to see more of that. The Sysdef/CF fight was a nice taste.
I doubt it will make it in via normal means (have to keep performance in mind), but you can bet mods will make it happen.
