Oh and also if you want to have a house of your own, you probably want to take the house trait since the free penthouse you get from UC questline is bugged and your items will disappear ;p
I am probably gonna get flamed for this, but do yourself a favor and wait at least another year, until CK comes out and modders fix this game since devs dont seem to care about that right now ;p
Didn´t try strealth or sniper, but i think sniper can be used at real large distances so that the enemys do not do a thing.
Health and jetpack are skills to choose in the beginning.
Stick to known space, until you get some experience and credtis.
You might also want to upgrade your spaceship with better weapons and shields, once you got money.
i see you played red dead redemption 2, can you reccomend the online mode?
Look in the science tab, there are plenty of usefull skills. Then, the combat skills, then, the tech skills when you begin to struggle with ship combats.
Edit: I suggest the “kids stuff” trait. I found it quite amusing having parents in the game and they do have funny moments and supposedly they’re designed/generated based on your character design
I’d star out with some basics that you’re interested in. Maybe persuasion, lock picking, encumbrance, at least 1 point in stealth to unlock the stealth meter. Then focus on ship perks.
I played on normal, so FPS wasn’t difficult, but if you’re on Hard you may need some perks for ground combat.
I think you need a point for the boost pack to work. That's the first thing I'd do.
Forgot about that one, yes, should definitely be an early one.
Also, take time to talk to people if you’re interested in side quests. If you see a named NPC, talk to them. A lot of quests don’t just automatically pop up (although some do).
Snipers rifles and sniping in general is my favorite thing to do in this game.
So number one rule for the above as well as the game in general is: Patience.
As for what type of guns to add, a lot of players prefer particle beam weapons. Since they damage both shields and hull, you don't have to fiddle around with power management so much.
And don't pay too much attention to this board. Lots of haters around. I don't know why they like annoying us. Perhaps they're just bad people.
2/ For once in a Beth game - play main quests through to and complete the mission "Into the Unknown". VERY useful.
3/ If you want a sniper rifle, visit the weapon shop in the residential district. 1st sniper rifle for you is the "old earth hunting rifle" - it's not brilliant, but it's long range (100m)
4/ I am doing stealth build. It's taking time, but level 3 of the initial stealth skill really helps.
I know this could be considered "boring" by many of the commentators here, but explore the planets you are sent to as fully as you can. I picked up a legendary pistol early on that I STILL have... and I found it in a box sitting on a windmill power station.
If you want to get some unique items that are helpful early on, and want a laugh and deeper "background" - get "kids stuff" in char creator. My mum was good looking. My Dad had a pair of lips and chin so LONG and WIDE it was horrifying. My female char got her good looks from her mum.
