Hooked on a feeling
Did my best to make Starlord(Peter Quill) as my character. Tried my best to make a sorta looking Milano/Pryde pointy ship. Normally I'd fold quick with a class A ship, but when I play that movie soundtrack- I get hooked on a feeling, and just kick ass. I FUGGIN LOVE GURADIANS OF THE GALAXY, AND I FUGGIN LOVE SPACE, AND I FUGGIN LOVE STARFIELD.

B. J. Thomas's original or David Hasselhoffs version or and being a Guardians luver we know you meant Blue Swede's version. Sadly even the original came out after i was born. But was to young for that and don't recall listening to it back then. So grew up with the Blue Swede version. Man it was on the radio a lot. Not a huge fan of oldies i much prefer Metal. But i do like them in movies and i like the soundtrack of all the Guardian movies or even Pulp Fictions which i actually bought surprisingly. Luved the Opera song The Diva Dance in Fifth Element mainly because it's so difficult. But i do have a sound system that well exceeds 5k so that helps.

Luv scifi in general or fantasy movies or books. And space games of course. From that stupid game Asteroids where i'd get highest score to the original Elite to Elite Dangerous to No Man's Sky and so many others to Starfield currently. Rendezvous with Rama and Text games based on space themes in the 80s. Even Stellaris i play a lot. Probably more then any other games i have. Kind of reminds me of Reach For The Stars for some reason. One of my all time favorites, reach that is.

But sure Starfield is good and will only get better. It may take a year or 2 though. But i'm patient enough nowadays.

"THAT'S A LOT OF WORDS!" - Mr. Torgue- Borderlands Series(Also a Sci-Fi space series, technically)

Despite the quote, my love for space was born when my mom gave me Transformers and Rocket Raccoon comics when I was a kid. I can't wait for Starfield updates.

It's weird that the original never gets airplay.

Just listened to the original. It definitely has a nostalgic feeling, and hoo boy, that's going to my playlist.

If we're going Nostalgic i'm thinking Dr Demento. Or The Doctor Demento Show specifically for radio. But we're talking space not comedy so.

Well good for you to provide imagination to a game sorely lacking it.

Even by troll standards, this is a bit douchebaggy.

No, Not trolling.

I honestly applaud the making of a favorite character and playing the game with that mentality. IT can surely add flavor to the game. I just find that the NPCs were lackluster and rather boring over all. I own the game and played the game and consider it a 6 to 7. Just disappointed at the fact it could/should have been a 9 or 10 and is not. I love space games which adds to my disappointment in this one.

OPs approach is cool and good for them and am glad they are enjoying themselves.

It may become a 8 or 9 at some point. But it's subjective of course. So i meant to me specifically as i hm well i think i should up my score from 6 to 6.5 since they are updating and the game is improving. Fix some more npc faces and add that dlc and it's sure to get a 7 from me. And yup i like the Op's way of doing it. Not something i'd ever do as i try to be something different or unknown. But sure whatever improves your enjoyment is always a good thing. I think the Title of the Thread starts off great.

Starfield doesn't lack imagination it just doesn't execute it's ideas properly, much more so than any other past Bethesda game. I get what you mean in your second comment tho, i feel pretty similarly.

Yes they are working at it. Good for them. Though that won't change the generally boring NPCs. Though some good DLC might add/improve at least new ones. I do want to see the game evolve to the point I want to spend the hours I did in Skyrim and FO4.

Even the non story NPCs had a comment as you passed in Skyrim. In FO4 you had the amusing war of piper with they mayor, a synth that thought he was sam spade, masquerading as the silver something that escapes my memory. Yes Bethesda haters bash on FO4 but there was a lot more character in that game. I started a new play through of Wasteland 3. So much more character than SF it is just sad. But as you say they are improving.
