I have to wonder given it's now got sub 60% review scores on steam and seems to have poor player retention here, you do have to wonder how many copies Starfield will even sell on play-station.
Honestly though as a PC gamer I mostly find the console wars amusing.
You really can though. If Starfailed had succeeded (which Microsoft planned on hence why they spent over $7 billion dollars to own Bethesda) Xbox would not be making this announcement this week which proves their catastrophic recent failure. Mainly due to Starfailed.
We can only hope that Bethesda has learned the less of "Go woke, go broke". This might have a positive effect and we end up with an ES6 that is not focused on Diversity Equity and Inclusion. You never know though, they might just double down.
That being said, there are talks about it being a Xbox exclusive, as in release with the new console generation (it might actually release much earlier now, if the next generation of consoles release earlier)
Microsoft have announced, that they will leave PC market as a service (Gamepass etc) if people don´t start to do yearly subs on gamepass as their main gaming source.
That being said, what does this has to do with Starfield?.. I think it makes sense for them to release to PS as well, since they can just do "timed" exclusives.
