And yes, I have had Advance versions of it drop before.
But he should not be getting the bonus from Isolation if he has a companion with him.
hm what about an "ADVANCED" one ? I've never seen one or any melee weapon in 380 hours and all sources indicate it only exists in basic version.
Yes, I edited my post.
Are you going against higher level enemies, like on level 75 planets?
That list shows details about every tier for every weapon. Melee weapons are not included.

These threads report that melee weapons don't have weapon tiers in SF, which is consistent with the wiki page
They exist. The Advance Va'ruun Painblade that is. Your choice to believe it or not. The Wiki is a good source, but it is not always correct or omits some things.
Unless I see a screen of some sort of the weapon dropped from an enemy or container, I still highly doubt it
Well, I checked my Corrosive Va'ruun Epic Painblade and it is not listed as Advance. And it shows more damage than his does. 114 base damage. But I still feel I have seen ones drop with the Advance label on them. But that may be a bug, or my memory misfiring. :P
You can't craft upgrade them, so it really does not matter.
It matters a lot, depending on weapon types advanced weapons get between like +50% to +100% damage
The damage displayed can depend on different factors like legendary effects, consumables, isolation perk etc or be straight up bugged.
But yes his damage seems actually low. I had regular painblades with similar damage.
I think he might just have renamed his weapon for some weird reason (views)
I'm pretty sure there is no advanced painblade or meee weapon, the ID should be too easy to find otherwise.
For melee weapons ( the subject of the thread ) it does not matter. :p
I mean, If advanced melee weapons existed, they would still have higher damage, craft upgrades or not
