SFAE version 1.4.1?
I updated the game, SFSE, address thingie, console command runner. However when I launch I get a message "SFAE version 1.4.1:" that says something about at least one mod not being safe. The game gets stuck and eventually freezes even windows. What is SFAE 1.4.1 and how do I go about this? I have already tried uninstalling all the SFSE dependent mods (including the address thingie and CCR) and launching from steam which still brings up the message. Which means one of my other simpler mods is bad? At least from steam the game does launch but it takes a long while, much more than before.
All my mods worked great without any stupid SFAE popups before. And what is SFAE anyway? :steamfacepalm:
EDIT: I already removes ALL my mods and I'm still getting the stupid message.

Have you tried google?
SFAE is an achievement enabler you downloaded from github. Delete or rename "vcruntime140_1.dll" from your starfield folder (the one with the .exe in it). Just a quick guess.

Starfield Achievement Enabler - https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/1402

Damn. I wasn't aware of it because it is installed manually. And why achievement enabler would report unsafe mods and stick the game?
BTW I did google it and didn't find it. Maybe because I was was searching for "SFAE 1.4.1".
So, here goes reinstalling the game and looking for all my mods again. Well, it is salutary to reinstall everything now and then I guess.

It was maybe virus scanner reporting vcruntime.dll as not being what it should be? vcruntime140_1.dll is a legitimate dll by microsoft, but this version obviously isn't.

A standard install of starfield doesn't include this file, as this file is normally in the windows system folders. But by some mess of windows, if a DLL is held in the same folder as an .EXE, it gets used instead of the legitimate one. Very useful for mods and virus alike.

Well I downloaded the update today, along with SFSE, address, console runner and after that this problem started. May it be that SFAE itself is what is being detected as not safe?
Found this as a sticky post in mod site:

There are actually 3 different Achievement Enable mods for Starfield. I had the same issue with SFAE 1.4.1. You are getting the error from the mod called Achievement Enabler by Prigrade. Delete it and use the one called Baka Achievement Enabler, instead. That one had no issue and worked fine for me.

SFAE 1.4.2 fixed the problem so it seems it was what they say "Fixed Mod Check Pattern".

indeed - this work fine for me
To remove the popup window that say - ( SFAE1.4.1 not working )
I follow this step:
Go to instal folder starfield - remove the "vcruntime140_1.dll" File.
Open my Vortex Mod manager - delete the Address Library for SFSE Plugins.
Close vortex
Reinstal a new version of the adress library from website nexusmods.com
Check for update"s Other mods , ( Vortex ) - Reinstal if needed the update,s - close vortex
start Starfield by Steam * no more popup !

It looks like vcruntime140_1.dll is at fault as after I deleted vcruntime140_1.dll from the Starfield folder, there's no more popup and SFSE is now running perfectly.
