Thanks for the broken update, Bethesda...

Looking at the patch notes, this looked like the first update that Bethesda has provided that might actually be worth something to me, personally. It mentioned a fix for Power From Beyond to address "missing temples." Thing is, that quest is still in the exact same broken state that it was in when I quit playing. I'm still missing 2 powers (and I got Barrett's), the power menu claims I'm missing FIVE temples, the quest is marked as complete, and Vladimir has no new temples to give me, despite being at endgame.

To add insult to injury, the game now runs noticeably WORSE than it did at launch on my system. I am now getting frequent and obvious screen tearing that wasn't there before, on the exact same settings.

Something on your end, clearly. The update delivered on all counts and performance on my machine is just as good or better than during the beta.

If you didn't opt in to the beta to test and (ostensibly but I don't buy it) experience these problems, that's on you.

yep its his fault that he didn't beta test their patch? seriously that's your take LOL

might well be an issue with his PC setup but that's a stupid take even for a starfield fan

Unfortunately they have not solved the saves that continually produce CTDs and do not allow you to continue with the game, which is very good.

Yes, definitely his fault. If he had opted in to the beta and experienced these problems (which I doubt exist) then there would be either a) no surprise today or b) fixes in the patch that he would (or should) have reported. Didn't do any of that? Too bad, so sad.

If I had game breaking/severe issues like that, I'd opt in to a beta patch that claimed to fix it. That's kind of the reason they're doing it I imagine, so that people can alert them to whether or not the issue does resolve.

@OP you should, if you haven't already, report it as a bug to Bethesda themselves.

Um no, the game is running horrible for me and hitching now. Also my controller thumbstick stopped responding correctly when I used the mouse for the menus.

The update is a turd just like the game.

Game just runs fine. After patches. Also After Beta Patches. No crashes no issues.

I admit I have not messed arround with game files or installed gamebreaking mods or nexus tools.

I can't tell you how badly I feel for your troubles. Really I can't, because I'm too busy playing this great and quite solidly improved game.

no mods , just straight game for me... .exe error now on start. i reported to Bethesda bugs.

Why blame Bethesda? It's probably a failed update, or something on your end...

Try with a new game. Validate your files first and don't load an older save, just start fresh.

ill just end this by uninstalling... im done with Bethesda ♥♥♥♥ games. ive had to redo this damn game 3 times now due to game breaking bugs i.e floating city .. asteroid stuck to ships..
