Power From Beyond - Acquire The Power On Skink

I've talked to Vladimir and received the mission. As soon as I got the mission, I tried to set a course to Skink from the missions screen. "R" is highlighted but will not allow me to progress to the map screen to travel/grav jump to system where Skink is located. Has anyone encountered this and is there a work around to complete this mission? This is the first Power From Beyond mission after choosing Emissary/Hunter side.
