Sam, the single father trying to raise his daughter while embarking on an epic journey of discovery…
Either way, the knife twist of fate is deep and the consequences of choice is lasting.
I would love to see them change this outcome to have their deaths cross the ng, to have other characters take their place, and they too to die and not be replaced. Creating different outcomes.
Without Sarah, the next play through is with her predecessor who stepped aside so Sarah could take the position.
Cora without Sam becomes an orphan you encounter. You know her, she doesn’t know you.
Even your first boss at the mine could become a member and a sacrifice.

I understand where you're coming from.
Please note that If you delete your account, all your personal information is removed, but some content you’ve posted in community areas is not. This includes things like discussion posts, or content that you posted in Steam community hubs, as well as comments you made on other Steam account’s profiles.
Also note that if you’re the author of a thread that has any replies, the thread can’t be removed as it would affect the data of others, which we are obliged to protect.
And even if the comments are already deleted, please know that it will still appear in your comment history for you and members of Steam Support.
As much as we'd like to help with this, the comment history page is unable to be cleared due to technical limitations, and can currently only be cleared when an account is deleted. However, that page is only visible to you and not other users. I know that this might be a situation that isn't ideal and we apologize for the inconvenience.
If you have any further questions, please let us know - we will be happy to assist you.

It will be the person you have the highest affinity with. So don't "rizz" the person you wish not to die.
But there are two options to avoid all that low drama in ng+
1) If you replay the main mission; you will get dialog for Vlad that preemptively
allows you to take the artifacts - saving all constellation crew members
2) Skip the main mission all together
So that in the next universe you could save another?
Its not another universe, its a timeloop
It is another Universe or dimension, it just sets you back where protagonist started out.
They clearly state this, also to mention; if it was a time loop you wouldn't be able to stack the starborn powers. Because you would just be re-collecting the same ones.
Where you actually leave the previous dimension.
Then it can´t be a new universe or dimension, since you travel back in time.
If it was another dimension, you would arrive at current time, not at the same time (I know its because it would ruin gameplay, but this game wanna be realistic)
Hence.. Timeloop..
You can save them both, but the game has bugs so the characters will refer to people as if they have died when they heaven't.
