I saw this memo earlier as well (not through these same exact screenshots) - Walmart will prep to remove Starfield Xbox physical copies from their stores but you could get very lucky and get it for 3 cents on Monday (the memo says the system will block the purchase)

[RUMOUR/LEAK?]

Walmart to start removing physical Xbox games in store starting with Starfield. Copies are either going to be 0.03 cents or be destroyed.

If you have an Xbox and you want to try out Starfield for less money here's your chance.

Isn't it a bit early to dispose of inventory ?

that's 0.03 cents too much

I guess it only sold kinda well on PC, and sales on Xbox consoles must be below 1 million globally (to the fans before jumping to the throat, think two minutes, if it had sold well Walmart would not take this decision)

Todd and Phil when thinking about the 10 million sales potential which were forecasted on PS5 and that they decided to let go

Can‘t wait for the upcoming sales report next month: Apparently MS sold a million copies of Starfield within 24h, huge success.

Retailers don't keep product on the shelves when it isn't moving well. I suspect other games (that do sell well) will remain on the shelves for a while.

I haven't bought a physical copy for a very long time. Last i did that i just got a code for Steam, so i thought " -♥♥♥♥ that". It just takes up space. So in regards to Walmart, it's about time they start removing

A Steam code In an Xbox case ? I kinda doubt it.

Physical PC games are pretty much dead now, yeah.
But I still buy those for consoles.

Consoles still have physical market going on for them, its great, you can buy a game and its yours and if you dont like it you can sell it right away and loose nearly no money. I dont buy on steam anymore since mods ban me too often for nonsense bs.

So we are two about not buying on Steam because of mods rudeness. But I doubt we are many, and no I don't buy any console crap even less anything boxed because I don't have place for that, since long the cave is overloaded.

And I won't deny that for example SF Steam forum is showing a huge problem about behaviors in forums.

For OP lol, that looks like scam and collection of conspiracy theories sites, wait it's confirmed by more valid sites or even confirmed sales at 1$ which I would take fine if not console.

So, if BETH spent $200,000,000 developing SF, how many .01cent sales would it take to BREAK EVEN. Is eternity long enough for that - LoL

I’d buy 2000 copies for $60

Resell each for $5 and make a cool $9,940 profit

Or is $0.01 still too pricey?
