What modern gameplay does Starfield have?
What game do you think should win? of the nominated for the finals?
We really need a razzie awards section, for games that are exceptionally poor in different categories. It would put a nice spin on the broken "popularity contest" if a game getting an innovation award also received biggest letdown award.
Popularity contest are just that.. what is popular.
Its perfectly fine for what it is. We already had TGA, where its not just popularity (that is actually a minor fraction of vote that is allocated for users)
Indeed.
Remnant II could pose a threat, but I don´t really think it ultimately will. But we will find out next year, whom did the correct predictions.
Starfield will win it.
I will wish for a better game quality this time!
and I hope in 2024 if we see some good game titles that I'm waiting for!
I think we have had many quality games in 2023, its been an awesome year overall tbh.
That being said, it will be interesting to see whom wins the Steam awards.
Boomer shooters have way better gunplay than Shartfield.
Raspberry Awards for games are the only awards Shartfield could legitimately win.
I guess it depends on what you want ofc.
That being said, the gunplay is not innovative in any way.
I think they look better than many expected tbh.
But overall Starfield is not really (atleast for me) a bad or good game, its a decent game for what it does.. the main issue is that many wanted something different.
As for the award, its a popularity contest, but I still think Starfield will win it.
exactly this someone has to explain to me what's innovative about Starfield
It is not a rigged vote.
It is a popularity contest. Everybody could vote on whom they think should be nominated for the finals and Starfield has been one of the most voted for in that catagory.
It is entirely userbased.
Rules are that games can only enter 2 catagories and thus a game like BG3 could not go in other catagories than GOTY and Best Story (since that is the cap) but effectually (it does not belong there) it could have gotten more votes than Starfield in that catagory, but not able to win a spot, due to already having 2.
I assume people that love Starfield, voted the game for every avaliable slot they could.
Hence why it is in this catagory.
