But I was laughing my ass off at these guys yesterday. It was fun, but actually people like that aren't funny and are rather dangerous.
And in general the customer is always the king you know. You don´t ridicule and gaslight your customers for not appreciating what you have created. You have to be humble, thank them for their feedback and try to improve.
I don't think they are dangerous. I just think it's silly. Especially when there is no intent on educating themselves any further about the subject. But good feedback can always be taken out of it. Just gotta sift through the assumptions and drama to get to the good feedback.
You must never complaint about the restaurant food, because you didn't know shat about fine cooking.
You must never complaint about a game.
Dev went on a rant where even though he acknowledges that consumers have a right to complain, talks about "how disconnected some players are" from the realities of game development, and encourages passionate fans to avoid making assumptions about how and why design decisions are made.
I think some people just don't know how to critique anymore. Everything is either goty or trash. They dont really know what they want and regurgitate what YouTubers say without understanding it.
