whats your evidence those players were "review bombing" and more over what is your definition of it? Is not liking a game .. review bombing?!?
so if you dont like a game refund it and leave a review you are wrong. You are basically saying only people who like the game can review it.
Bottom line is, on Steam, we know people bought the game, and we can see how much they actually played the game! Regardless how that makes you feel, that is direct feedback from the verified consumer
Better than a forum full of unknowns with dubious criticisms and an even less trustworthy group of individuals.
You aren't wrong if you refund it. Your opinion isn't invalid if you refund it. But if you refund it, you don't own it, and you can't leave a buyer's review. I'm not saying anything, Steam is. I didn't write the rules but that is why they have the rule. I think they should give you more than 2 hours to review a game but that doesn't get me 4 hour refunds.
key word... "BUYERS" review. also can you link this from steams rules. I'd love to see it.
Your Google finger broken? https://store.steampowered.com/reviews/
Reviewers should adhere to the following guidelines:
Do not direct abuse or insults at other players, developers, or groups.
Do not include threats or encouragement of harm.
Do not use reviews for commercial purposes. Examples include: advertisements, referrals, or promotions.
Do not artificially influence review scores. Examples include: using multiple accounts to leave reviews; coercing other players to leave reviews; or accepting payments or other compensation to leave reviews.
If a copy of the game was received for free, this should be disclosed in the review itself.
here is their policy found here IN STEAM. show me what you are talking about
A. Purchase is not required. You may write a review for any product in your Steam account. Whether you registered a Steam key obtained elsewhere, or played a free game, you will be able to write a review for that product. Your playtime in that game or time in that software title will appear next to your review.
If you refund it, it's not in your library. Therefore, you can't review it. Bro, it took like 5 seconds to find.
Q. Do I need to have purchased a game in order to write a review of it?
