OpenCritic 84% Recommend vs Steam 27% Recent / 63% Overall of 90K+ - Why the massive disconnect??
How would you attribute the grave difference between critic & Steam user reviews?

Has there been outstanding performance & lack of post launch support issues?

Outstanding bugs / lacking future roadmap?

Your thoughts?

So steam stopped allowing players who refunded from leaving a review and REMOVED their reviews if they refunded. Hench the game was higher than it would have been for months. Basically it left the people who ( for what every reason ) did like the game.

Make's perfect sense, half assed reviews *bombing* doesn't belong here, not that today's reviews are somewhat valid, positive or not.

whats your evidence those players were "review bombing" and more over what is your definition of it? Is not liking a game .. review bombing?!?

Professional cretin reviews are bought and paid for and therefore worthless. Steam reviews are from people who have at least installed and played the game. Nobody with a functional brain trusts shill media reviews in the past decade.

Steam only allows reviews from game owners. Buying a game, reviewing it, then refunding and Steam leaving the review is no different than not requiring the game be owned to review. If that was the case, any game I didn't like and didn't own because I knew I wouldn't like it, I can just go bomb sight unseen. That would make Steam reviews even more worthless than they already are.

so if you dont like a game refund it and leave a review you are wrong. You are basically saying only people who like the game can review it.

Do I really have to say it, "Trust Nobody" like the late great 2Pac used to say.

Trolls. No other reason. I have given up trying to understand them and just write them off and ignore them. Trolls on Steam are a uniquely aberrant bunch. It is a cult.
But professional reviews are the standard?!? Ill not pretend there arent a bunch of ridiculous 1/10 reviews, the exact same can be said for most 10/10 reviews.. For every troll negative review, theres a troll positive one.

Bottom line is, on Steam, we know people bought the game, and we can see how much they actually played the game! Regardless how that makes you feel, that is direct feedback from the verified consumer

Bro Opencritic? Are you serious right now. Easily manipulated and untrustworthy group.

Better than a forum full of unknowns with dubious criticisms and an even less trustworthy group of individuals.

You aren't wrong if you refund it. Your opinion isn't invalid if you refund it. But if you refund it, you don't own it, and you can't leave a buyer's review. I'm not saying anything, Steam is. I didn't write the rules but that is why they have the rule. I think they should give you more than 2 hours to review a game but that doesn't get me 4 hour refunds.

User reviews give players an opportunity to share their experience with the games they've played, while also enabling other players to make confident and informed purchasing decisions.

Reviewers should adhere to the following guidelines:
Do not direct abuse or insults at other players, developers, or groups.
Do not include threats or encouragement of harm.
Do not use reviews for commercial purposes. Examples include: advertisements, referrals, or promotions.
Do not artificially influence review scores. Examples include: using multiple accounts to leave reviews; coercing other players to leave reviews; or accepting payments or other compensation to leave reviews.
If a copy of the game was received for free, this should be disclosed in the review itself.

here is their policy found here IN STEAM. show me what you are talking about

A. Purchase is not required. You may write a review for any product in your Steam account. Whether you registered a Steam key obtained elsewhere, or played a free game, you will be able to write a review for that product. Your playtime in that game or time in that software title will appear next to your review.

If you refund it, it's not in your library. Therefore, you can't review it. Bro, it took like 5 seconds to find.
