Operation Starseed mission bug
SPOILERS AHEAD!!
I´m having really hard time to finish the Operation Starseed quest line! no matter who i side with everyone suddenly turns hostile against me, cant even talk to ADA before or after meeting up in the village to decide the faith of the people in there. Some say waiting or sleeping in the ship for 24 hrs help but not for me. I also took care that i only shoot the leaders when the plot requires it. This really blows because of all of the two quest lines i really liked in this game, this one is of course bugged...

Me, I don't even bother with that broken quest.

wow, that's helpful, isn't it? Pretty good start to the new year, well done :)

The trick is not to kill any of the NPCs except the leaders. The 2nd trick is to do it alone, without a companion. As soon as the "war" breaks out ;) immediately run through to the "1-2 leaders" and do the job.
I've played this quest since patch 3more times without issues.

Experience seems to differ on this one, for me I was able to complete the quest, but as soon as I handed in and got the quest complete xp and credits they all went hostile on me so I legged it out of there.
This was after a few reloads after resting to actually get into town, initially they were hostile as soon as I approached but after sleeping a few hours they took a chill pill or something.
Very odd quest.

This is the right way to do it and if you select the right options during dialog, you will only need to kill one.

As always, do you use mods?

I got that one once in a while as well. EVERYONE wanted to kill me. But, if you just go and hide for a few minutes, they get over it.

I had no issues with that one except the deliver the ore to the robot never goes away.

That quest gives me a nice dress to wear.

ok. i was able to finish the quest line. When i came back from facility (to talk about the faith of the three "gangs") i talked to Khan, then immediately fast travel to my ship (everyone was hostile). I went inside only to see people were no longer hostile. Then i went back to Crucible (no companion with me)to talk to ADA and was finally able to give the keys to her!

then i went back to the facility and chose what to do, went back to Crucible to talk to Khan. BOOM! mission complete, got Amelia aboard and fast travelled to my ship again because once again people turned hostile towards me:steamfacepalm:

after all this was the second quest line where i actually didint skip the dialogue and actually cared who to side with!

But i will go back there and kill everyone else...

Here's how I got around it [SPOILERS]:

I didn't approach the settlement directly - I ran clockwise (to the left) around the outer perimeter of the exterior wall and watched all the red hostiles light up on the compass. But they can't get to you because they're inside the wall.

By the time I got all the way around and approached from the margin all the lights went away. Approach normally (no guns showing!) and you can talk to your chosen leader.

You may have to try a couple of times. The first time I did this, they all turned hostile after the conversation was over. The second time everything was green.

But yeah, everything others are saying is right: this whole quest line is glitched starting from when you return from the Beagle and all the doors are inaccessible (had to use a console command to get past that one, and lost all my save points as a reward) to your return from the facility. Get it behind you and move on.
