TES6 is doomed
It's better to just accept that the creative talent at Bethesda responsible for the masterpieces of the past has long since departed from the company. It's the same case with other companies developing upcoming big franchise games. The next mass effect game will be garbage, the next dragon age game will be garbage. The next witcher game may not be garbage, but it will be nowhere near TW3.

Just enjoy and love these incredible games of the past, and cherish what these companies used to deliver and create. Having any hope that these mere husks of their former selves are going to push out anything worthy of advancing these franchises is pure cope

That is all

You know what I wish to have again? Call of Duty with no microtransactions. Diablo with no microtransactions. Halo with no microtransactions. GTA with no microtransactions. Video games with no microtransactions. 😢😭

Decrease in quality + Increase in Greed = TES:6 doomed. The math checks out. :cozybethesda:

Bethesda should change their name to Blockbuster 2.0 cause that is what is gonna happen to them.

TE6 going to have dumb stuff like an evil orange high elf named “Monald Mump” and Rick & Morty cameos and Reddit is going to soy in their shorts over it.

Elder Scrolls 6 will be garbage but it won't be doomed. The success of its predecessor Skyrim and nostalgia will have people buying it like hotcakes because they won't know any better or even know Starfield existed since it wasn't an Elder Scrolls game.

couldnt agree more. How is miss the days when having cool cosmetics in games meant that you were actually good at the game and not that you asked your mom for $20

Honestly i get this game being med to meh. But for people to say its mostly negative up there with call of duty makes me think peoples opinions are stupid.

lets not forget cod is ripped apart almost on almost every release yet it’s one of the best selling franchises …

Well, as it's probably just another bland reskin without any actual substance that will be quite sub par compared to it's contemporaries ... yes, TES6 is ♥♥♥♥♥♥, although Bethesda will still make money hand over fist, just like they did with the blatantly boring and uninspired trainwreck Starfield was

This is the sad reality with corporations and development studios in general. People forget it isn't the CORPORATIONS that make the game, it is the people within the company. If you change those design, artistic, management and coding talents you can completely change the potential output of the company and the fate of any future project. It doesn't matter if the brand/studio have some history, that history is in reality only connected to certain groups of people working under certain conditions in the past. Unless you recreate those groups and conditions that past history is of little relevance beyond owned IPs wtihout real connections.

It's the same sort of problem when you get someone like Lord British or Peter Molyneux resurfacing again for some project asking you to back them because they were the names associated with past huge projects. But people forget that the conditions and the other people on the TEAM were also important for them at the time too. Even having a good taskmaster to guide and keep development on track can matter a lot too. Without all of that you've only got a thin tie to the past in the form of one ageing famous name and that all too often proves to not be enough even with some heavy hitters in their niche.

Yip, same thing that happened with BioWare. The guys who royally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up Dragon Age 2 and beyond aren't the same guys who scored Baldurs Gate, Never winter Nights or Mass Effect.

Over time, there was the usual slow dripping out of talent and as usual, this dripping became a hard flow and to be honest, you could even feel this slow loss of competence between Baldurs Gate 2 and Neverwinter Nights and between Neverwinter Nights and Mass Effect but the biggest hump, I felt as a player was between Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2

It's like Bobby 'best Epstein buddy' Kotick and J Allen 'I didn't knew about the Cosby-Suite' Brack being still around but the people that actually made Warcraft 2, WoW and Diablo 2 great, 20 years ago, are nowhere near those companies anymore ;)

Todd "16 times the detail" Howard and Pete "wouldn't just leave it to fail" Hines might still be there but the guys doing the ACTUAL work, have moved on, sometimes even quite some time ago

if starfield truly took 8 years to make then I hard agree.
8 years to recycle animations and mechanics from as far back as skyrim is pathetic.
worst part is some of the mechanics that were recycled are worse than where they came from.
take melee and crafting for example, fallout 4 did both better between actually upgrading your melee weapon to having different melee weapons that actually have different styles.

Even the outposts system in fallout 4 was better, it gave a reason to horde supplies and upgrade your bases versus just using it to farm resources (killing the useless mining laser in the process)

Then you have the new stuff like the mining laser where you get one variant that's not upgradable, like you start off in a mine with said laser only to throw it away a few hours into the game.

Not anymore. I believe they burned through their goodwill assets...
So pessimistic.

Anyone remember Hexen? That's like Elder Scrolls and Doom combined.

So... the next Elder Scrolls will be a Hexen remaster. TES6 is Doomed...
