My trip to the Vultures nest. (some spoilers.)
I have just cleared out a base that was harassing some nearby colones. When I got a mission to visit the Vultures nest.
Now I had no idea what I would find. But I love firefights so I was delighted to hear from Sam Cole that this place looks like an Ecliptic home base.

Add to that a lot of explosive barrels and I knew I would have a real blast (pun intended!)
I blew one up and emptied my clip of explosive bullets and yelled. Hi honey, I'm home!
Funny how I had to do that after I landed on the pad and they STILL didn't know I was there. lol

I like how the Ecliptic keep trying to hide from me as I chase them down.
I thought they were suppose to be tough.
Yeah right!
One thing that I don't understand is how my firearm that normally holds 25 rounds can now hold 30. I wonder if this is some sort of bug.
Not that I mind it since it means less reloading, more shooting. :)

I like how I can raid the base. Then still open a door and walk into a room where have no idea that I am even there. I just shot-up a bar.
The only problem was that Sam went to another part of the bar and took one of the bad guys. Seriously Sam! I want to be the one that shoots all the bad guys. I'm the hero here, you sidekick!
Stop stealing my glory. lol
Gggggrr. I thinking of leaving him on the ship.
Ecliptic love there locks because like just about every door has one. Some of which you can't solve. Guess it's random locks.
They also have this awful singing going on in the background. Please tell me that part of my mission is to kill whoever is strangling the cat and dog and possibly a giraffe.

Cole is giving me crap about me picking up everything. Sheesh
Like I am a collector. Du.
I found a key that opened s cell which gave me some contraband. I don't think it's worth too much. Just those fish drugs from Neon.
Went back to the ship not because of Sam but because I was tired of seeing that blur due to lack of oxygen and more importantly, the ship was right there.
The base is built next to a cliff so watch your step.
Not a bad clear.
I would suggest two things.
1. Let the player shoot the singer of that noise that they were making.
2. Let me drop a calling card of sorts that says: It was me that wrecked your base and kicked your A%^es! lol
Then maybe latter get an angry response comment from them.

Vulture's Roost. I never actually had this in my mission log. All I know is its a persistent POI on Jaffa IV.

How did you get the mission?

I actually went twice. First time through I did not explore to 100%, so when I went back to Jaffa to do surveys, the POI Marker said 67% Explored and of course I had to make it 100%. Almost killed both me and Andreja taking out a 'Cliptic with 40mm XPL rounds. He was standing beneath a tank of boom-stuff, and that set off about three other tanks of boom stuff. Bada bing bada BOOM! Stole the Dagger, probably just sell it, not much good for a rebuild, hate the cockpit.

I stole the Dagger once as well, but I clear it out every time. Registration was 6k and resale was 9k, so hardly worth the effort.

I got it as a mission once while raiding a POI and reading a slate. But usually I just fly over there for fun, alone. Lots of loot everywhere, including behind the closed doors unlocked with a key.

By the way, you don’t need to return to your ship to unload. You can do that by simply opening your ship cargo and transferring goods from your inventory if you are not too far away from the landing pad.

Yep. I think the range for that is 250 meters. Though for some, it varies.....

How did you get the mission?

I got the mission on a quest to clear out some pirates. I happened to read a pad at the weapons base that they were and and the quest popped up.

Thanks for the info! Is it like a bounty mission where the goal is to kill the boss?
