Report a translation problem
So when you are looking for the right spot first open your scanner while on a planet and press [H] on keyboard or [X] on controller to show the beacon however it's not placed yet and won't be until you confirm the spot but you'll also be able to see that circle/boundry.
To get an overhead view select the fly cam which will give you a birds eye view of that circle.
Since you've already placed your beacon you can now see that boundry when you open the builder then choose the birdseye view.
Thank you for that information. I'm not sure though. I can place a miner at the end of that zone, but not closer to my outpost computer.
Mind you, I haven't placed any mining equipment yet, and it's all within the iron ore and suitably away from other structures. Just inconsistent somehow? I'll go a take a closer look.
