WHAT’S THE BEST SELLING GAMES THIS YEAR? – BEST SELLING GAMES 2023 SO FAR
Starfield released in September, and sold enough copies to be the 4th best selling game of the whole year.

There is nothing you can type on the internet to change this.
No one cares about the review score. They know it's been manipulated.
No one cares about your social media campaign. They know what your doing and why.
Carry on as you must, but when nothing changes don't hurt yourself. It's not because you're worthless. You can still make a difference somewhere in the world.
Just not here.

Money is a much bigger flex than a manipulated review score, and I'm telling you the truth when I say that decision makers at Bethesda and Microsoft Games are fully aware of what's going on here.

They know everything.

Ya'll shouldn't have used Microsoft and Google services to coordinate this.

"Admittingly, Starfield’s player numbers are not similar to sales thanks to the Xbox Game Pass, however, we thought the game was worth mentioning for its staggering feat."

Truly an amazing feat.
Even if we dont know what the actual sale numbers are, i'm sure Starfield is still in the top 20 of best selling games this year. This is still great.

Why do you always post such bs?

Lets pat them Bethesda for a job well done now. So successful.

It's a good job because we're still looking for it.

The article actually says it.
Starfield is not the 4th most selling.. unless you count free copies and rentals.. I mean.. that is crazy tbh.. by that argument a game like Football Manager 2023 has more sales (that is on the rental service as well)

Estimates on steam. 1.5m sales.
It was free on Xbox
Its rental service on PC gamepass.

Its very low sales numbers and nowhere close to even top 10 this year.

Every sale of almost every AMD graphics card for months also counts as a "sale" of Starfield because it was bundled. That's how I got my copy. Premium super duper edition Starfield for free with a discounted last gen midrange card (6700XT). Discounted to shift excess stock before the current gen came out. The business I bought the card from was shifting them so fast that the whole boatload was sold while it was still on the boat coming here and they ordered another boatload. The price was great! A free game with it was a triviality.

EDIT: Heh...I read the article the OP linked to and found that it doesn't list Starfield sales at all! The OP is just spreading disinformation, as well as being extremely hypocritical regarding manipulation of figures. Along with the usual conspiracy nonsense about a secret cabal of tens of thousands of people posting fake reviews.

Lets look at some popular games released on Steam 2023 and see the sales numbers.
Estimated sales (not just play tracked, but more complex analytic involvement and refunds taken into account)

BG3 - 13.65 M
L:C - 6.18 M
H:L - 4.88 M
RoN - 3.16 M
DtD - 2.45 M
RE4 - 1.99 M
Starfield - 1.70 M (it actually had a little gain over xmas sale)
AC:VI - 1.02 M

This is not bad per say for Starfield, until you remember that the game had a budget of over 400 million USD (4x the amount of BG3)

People forget, that Starfield was supposed to be a mainstream blockbuster, the game everybody bought and talked about.. People do talk about it (all of the big games are talked about, including BG3, CP2077, H:L, etc)

Actually the estimated one I used, take that into account.
But yes there is a lot of freebies with AMD also.. but those are not actual "sales" ofc.

Still the game is not even close to being a blockbuster on Steam and overall neither.
Starfield however is King of Xbox.. in terms of SP. But lets be honest.. it only is, because it was gifted to 25 million players for free and out of those, not even 8 million picked it up (downloaded it) and tried it.

Microsoft also bought Zenimax/Bethesda mainly for its upcoming release of starfield and next elder scrolls

Microsoft bought Bethesda to piss off Sony.
Not much more than that.

Starfield is a bonus, it was used as an appeasement gift for Xbox players.

TESVI is set to release in 2028.. Microsoft is not thinking about that.

Starfield released in September, and peaked at 330,723 players on Steam. Now it barely tops 10,000 players on Steam because it's a bad game. People realized this after they bought it based on the deceptive marketing that carried it to be the 4th best selling game of the whole year. They're not playing it. The player drop on Xbox is certainly worse, since without buying it people had even less investment.

Starfield has failed and will not receive much post-release support from Bethesda. They've done basically nothing with it so far.

There is nothing you can type on the internet to change this.
