Is Bethesda turning into Madden NFL?
Every single Madden game since the stone age has a negative review. The current madden has horribly negative reviews, so does the one before that, then the one before that, so on ad-infinitum. Yet in a strange twist of supreme irrational lunacy, customers keep buying them. The same people who buy the last terrible Madden game and leave a negative review end up buying the next one, and so forth.

So Madden, despite having some of the worst cumulative ratings on Steam among all PC games, still enjoys massive profits because dolts keep buying the games, over and over again.

Bethesda has me wondering if it is going to be the next madden? People whine, complain, leave a negative review and then...guess what folks? That's right, they give them money all over again and keep buyin'

So, we get a Starfield 2 in 2024, SF3 in 2025? Nice :steamhappy:

One of my brothers is constantly buying EA NHL every new version that comes out and can't understand that I would not pay full price for the same game just to get a few new players integrated.

Still, those games sell like hotcakes.

Not exactly. The difference is game vs. service. BGS are going the service path.

Imagine if EA sports games were a service. For a subscription or one off you'd keep the same game but get updated rosters/schedules/groupings every year. Instead they sell the entire game... again...

With the SF being a service you'll "play it for years" but through paid mods and DLC instead of an entirely new 'game'.

Gamers are simultaneously the best and worst customers in history. They will gladly buy whatever garbage product your company releases at any price. Then complain loudly, rant and even spew threats. Then, gladly buy whatever garbage product your company releases next.

No, Madden is just cheap shovelware, new Bethesda games cost a million billion dollars to make

There are no Turduckens in Starfield, so the answer is obviously no.

All I know is that John Madden hated to fly so he'd stop in Van Horn Texas all the time on his bus and visit Chuy's restaurant. Went there and it's great food. Still open.
