boostpack perks stopped working

Im at a level 4 and my boostpack works as if level 1. I even tried console command and it says I'm level 4 but the boostpack depletes way too quickly and it only holds me in the air for half a second. anyone else have this problem? If i revert to an earlier save it works again.
I also notice that the boost bar in the lower left corner glitches out as the reserve energy depletes, it goes from full to empty within a half second

Each boost pack has different stats. There is a lot of variance between them. Your boost pack perk level also contributes to these stats. My boost pack is near useless at anything near 1g.

I've found a lot of the pirate ones are pretty good. The skip packs. You can also mod your pack which helps. I'm on NG+5, so I'm using the Starborn boost pack which is quite nice.

But I havent changed boostpacks. It just started happening. If i revert to a much earlier save (using the same boostpack) there is a noticeable difference. The bar doesnt deplete as fast. To be honest I did try out some mods and I'm 100% that is the culprit. But I can't seem to get rid of the bug even when I run without mods. Guess thats what I get

ok i figured out what happened (i think)
I think one of the mods somehow attached a boostpack to my character, but you cant see it.
all equipment unequipped (suit, helmet, jetpack, and regular clothing) and I can still boost. Now the boost works as it should but I have no pack on and so cant survive outside. Not sure how to fix it but I found a save only 3 levels back so not too bad. I noticed it happened after I was messing around with TG's starborn armor mod. I notice something in the details about boostpack not stacking so I assume this is what is happening.

I actually DID have a boost pack glitch ~ it wasn't because i didnt have one on . . or didnt have the perks . . . or any of the obvious things ppl tell you to check. (i have boost pack perk 4, and tried wearing balanced, skip pack and power boost packs). I did have a mod that changed the mantis outfit to the starborn with seperated helmet and boost pack installed . . i can't remember if i was actually wearing it though ~ but i do not believe so ( could totally be wrong about that). Anyways . . my boost worked when i did NOT have a pack on . . and it didnt work when i was wearing one. I tried removing the perk through console commands . . didnt work. I tried modifying several diferent boost packs at a space suit table . . . no effect. I didnt have a save point to return to because i tend to delete them after i get about 50 of them or so, and i didnt realize i had a problem until it was too late. Basically when i boosted, if i had a boost pack on ~ i would get one short boost that maybe pushed me a small ammount and the bar would deplete completely. If i did NOT have a pack on . . a boost would be substantial, pretty normal for your first boost, but again . . . the bar would completely deplete.
Anyways . . i was probably on an NG+++ ~ 3 or 4 times through the unity when this glitch happened. So heres my solution ~ continue through your game play and get through the UNITY again. Once i did that, my boost ability started working correctly again. It was a little annoying for that play through, but at least it was not game breakingly bad.

yup this sounds exactly like what I experienced. I never did go through the unity again as I had a save that was about 4 or so hours previous so I was willing to lose that much progress. I think somehow with the mods a boostpack gets attached to your character. I 've read about this bug where stacked boostpack results in this type of behavior.

There's a game glitch with the boost packs. Twice my level 48 and then 56 character that's been using them since level 3 suddenly no longer had the ability to boost. Shutting the game down and restarting fixed the issue. Don't know if it's from extended gameplay, but the game seems to get buggier the longer your playthrough is.

I wasn't able to try as my save was corrupted in more ways than just the boostpack but someone should attempt this console command before they dump progress:

player.removeallitems

Not sure if it removes equipped or not, and whether or not it would remove the ghosted boostpack.

I'm having the exact same issue and all I can narrow it down to was after I started using the Gravis suit download. The screenshot above sums it up perfectly. I have tried uninstalling it and swapping to other boost packs but to no avail. Its not game breaking, but it is a totally annoying bug which I hope they sort in the next patch.
I don't suppose anyone found a solution to it?

It was a good idea. But sadly, didn't work. I'm affected by this bug as well.
I took off all my items, did the player.removeallitems command. And my whole inventory got deleted. (Except for quest items.)

And I could still boost while naked. Maybe the invisible boost pack is marked as a quest item?

For now, I did the temporary fix by modding my actual boost pack to have No boost. That way I can still boost freely.

I will be going NG+ soon, so hopefully that fixes it.

This problem is still relevant as of today. This needs to get more attention, as this is the only thread I stumbled upon where others had the exact same issue ("invisible" boostpack).
I'll remove the boost off the pack and wait to see what happens on NG++++.... eventually lol

Just got this a few days ago. Went back to a much earlier save but still had the issue. Looks like am going to have to uninstall the Gravis Suit mod and start a new game just to be on the safe side. Might reinstall STARFIELD just to be extra safe while cleaning out any left over directories and saves.

it is caused by mods but it is a bug in the game itself. If you attach two boost packs this is the result. For a game that heavily encourages modding this should be fixed.
