Extractor items
Can anyone please tell me how do I collect the items inside my extractor automatically? I been searching how to do it but videos I watch show step by step how those items collected from outpost to outpost but doesn't really discuss anything about how we collect items from extractor. I tried to connect my extractor to a storage but it doesn't work I think lol.

Another question. Why Every time I travel to my outpost I just look like I fall in the sky on the outpost while my ship in the landing pad ?

Thank you

Interface with the extractor, walk up to it like any container. It doesn't hold much so its good to build a container and connect your Extractor to it.
If you've done ^ and you don't see anything, it means you probably don't have enough power to run it. Build another power source.

You connect the extractor to a storage unit. You collect the material from the storage unit.

you can use a "transfer container" the thing with the wheels that doesn't look like a container..

link containers to it and you can interface with the transfer container from the TAB ship menu..or by clicking directly on it like a chest

tab, click on ship, press f
move items directly to and from your ship like dat

any item in any storage container, automatically linked to your building while at the outpost.. kinda strange way to do it but means you dont need to hold the items in your personal inventory to build

Also check to see if that the extractor, power source, or both don't need to be repaired. I had an issue last night where I noticed that one of my cargo links wasn't showing the usual amounts in its incoming container. I went too two different mining outposts and noticed the extractor wasn't working. When I went into the outpost screen then moused over I noticed the option to repair both the extractor and the power source. I have maintenance robots at them but I still had to manually repair them. Since both my security bots where damaged I am guessing a ship crew or fauna wandered by to attack the outpost.

Outposts can be raided while you are not there, and equipment damaged. That is the reason for the turrets you can build.

Connecting excavators to storage is done in the build menu. Point at the excavator and you either have an option showing in the commands at the bottom, or you press TAB first to go into adjustment mode first then you'll have the connect option. But it's just a matter of clicking on the excavator, then clicking on the container.

You can also daisy chain containers to each other. For example, build 5 containers even touching together. Connect the excavator to the first container, connect the first container to the second, and so on. The Fifth container would fill first, and eventually all 5 will fill.

There is a special cargo container that you can send stuff to so that your ship interacts with it as well. Add those near the landing pad when you want to easily land, transfer to the ship, and take off again. Also there are cross planet link items that allow you to connect to some cities, or bases where there are cargo links at the landing pads there.
