That is the sense behind this
It's like Todd Howard was standing in a meeting one day and said, "Ok, folks. Let's finish this game and tie up all the loose ends including the Starborn." Suddenly an aid burst in screaming "MICROSOFT BOUGHT US!" and Todd said, "We're done.".
Like things were just stopped. Or not done. I get quest glitches (never met a game w/o one), but things like food, (which is useless), or chems (which I just buy Panacea and be done with it) or infinite meds, to a Starborn ship you are awarded with which is not upgradable and is totally useless.
Personally, I run around the New Atlanis star system until I find spacers, Kill until I get the Secret Hideout quest and then go get the Mantis. it isn't the best, but it's a good way to start.
for me, playing as if starborn is only if you want to race through to get to the next NG+.
I'd like a mod that prevents their corpses from vanishing (or I'll write one myself when the CK comes out).
