Why does Constellation mission board die?

Surveying is my favourite part of the game but I prefer doing it as part of a mission. Obviously the rewards don't really amount to anything but it feels nicer somehow. And yet the one mission board exclusively for surveying, the Constellation mission board, always stops giving out missions after a few dozen. Given the number of planets out there it's rather disappointing. And yes there are also survey missions from the regular boards but they're comparatively rare. I don't really feel like having to go through a ton of murder sprees to unlock a single survey mission...

So anybody know why Constellation just stops eventually? Is it linked to how far you advance in the story? Is there a cap on the total number of missions it gives? Something else entirely? Any information is appreciated, thanks.

The more longer you play (without entering the unity), more bugs will appear.
Only you can fix that entering the unity. Starfield has serious issues with savegames.

you might start to get the dynamic ID overflow bug. As you play, the game generates items and assign IDs to them, for some stupid reason, the game doesnt recycle old IDs and just make new ones. Thats mean the longer you play, the more bloated the ID list becomes to the point where your save game will stop working. As you get more IDs, some weird bugs starts happening also. Only way to "fix" this is to start a NG+

Hmm. It is true that I started getting new missions on the Constellation board once I started new game. Although it stopped giving them out again after a bit. Hate to admit it because the game gets a lot of unfair grief, but... This seems like the fair kind of grief. Hopefully they fix it at some point. Thanks for the information though.
