I've avoided pistols for the most part. Starting this week I played with some. Keelhauler a mag pistol I tried to like, but its too wild to control for me.

I'll try the Urban Eagle next if I find a decent one.

agree about Razorback, also with optic it is almost universal weapon as for long distances, as for short or indoor environment.

The Razorback is alright but you really want to max the rapid reload skill. I haven't got there yet, there is video though that makes it look nearly instantaneous reloading.
I did like the suppressed old world pistol that looks like a Ruger, it made me flashback to Goldeneyes on the N64. It can also be modded to hold 15 rounds which is a good amount of rounds for a pistol.

Razerback is the first pistol I tried that has a scope. It hits for 436dmg per shot when I use the scope.

I don't like pistols in the game. Even tho I started out using them a lot, even have 4 ranks in the pistol skill. Wish I could get those points back. Rifles are just too much better in the game for me.

But to answer your question, it has to be the Va'ruun pistol. Pretty good damage, but compared to the rifle version, range is too low and the damage is much higher on the Rifle version.

I use this as it kills them just as dead at 15 inches as it does at 150 meters.

Games not difficult enough for me to worry overmuch ... although I did have to slap myself evertime I thought about the V'ruun pistol.

I like .45s. It's really just for the looks. In a world full of colorful scifi guns I like to have a clean old-school weapon that I'm familiar with in real life.
