Kind of strange Starfield has only 4 main cities out of a ENTIRE GALAXY
Is it just me or is it odd in Starfield with over 1,000 planets as bethesda has repeatedly bragged about theres only 4 cities? 4 main towns out of 1,000 whole planets... I mean how many cities are on earth? You couldn't do more than 4 towns... Even Skyrim had 9 cities and thats just one country... in a small area of a world. You build a game with 1,000 whole worlds and only have 4 cities.. That is pretty lame. You couldn't do 10 cities... Or 1 full Apocalypse style city on earth? This whole game is really half baked in hopes of selling mods or bethesda legitimately just lost all their talent they once had.

Hmmm, seems realistic to me.

They really did a great job on this game.

They went easy mode on this game, very dull and uninspiring game play has been the games demise. this game would have done great back in 2012.

Titan, Cydonia, Akela City, Neon, New Atlantis I count 5. Paradiso Resort. Nope Six.

It's a game. Use lore to suspend disbelief. They probably kept the list of cities short to cut development needs.

I believe the issue is that people are expecting single map cities to be injected on each planet. Maybe even multiple single map cities per planet. That is not realistic. How many cities are in Star Citizen again?

I dont expect a city on every planet, but more than 4 cities would of been cool like maybe 10 main cities and 1 with a apocalyptic city. Make it explorable and maybe overran with something like enemy AI, drones, terramorphs, something.

Gangarin (sp?), maybe could count the Cruicible, HopeTown is referred to as a city in multiple dialogs but I don't see it, a shop a bar, a ranger station, and HopeTech HQ is all I've ever seen there. There's one more not mentioned yet but I can't think of it right off.

The key is basically a city station too.

I've got screenshots of the ruined building - Empire State Building, the St Luis Arch, the Pyramids at Giza, and a bunch of others (locations revealed by reading books in game).

I mean actual cities like Neon and Akela. Thats why I said Main towns. Not places that are called "cities" and its just one building. Actual area's you can explore. there are 4 Main towns in Starfield.

It all gets explained in the story, so either you didn't even play Starfield (long enough) or didn't listen. Which is sad because this isn't Counter Strike where the story is irrelevant. You can't rush through Starfield and afterwards complain about things quests, documents, and NPC's told you but you didn't pay any attention.

Theyre barely cities too.

Addtionally, where are at least some roadways and some smaller nearby towns and suburbs? They could have had so much storytelling with feuding families/gangs in Akila or other factions fighting over territory in NA.

The whole game is procgen so theres no excuses for BGS not having built waaaay more "handcrafted" content and fleshing out 2 or 3 planets in this supposed "populated for 200 years by humans" galaxy. The colony war excuse is weak at best, and the game just contradicts itself constantly.

Even Sarah makes a comment ragging on Akila with something like "200 years and this is all they were able to build." So Sarah made a comment implying that the UC were ahead and Akila were somehow behind, yet NA is just as empty.

BGS were fully aware they were leaving cities empty and soulless yet wanted to make it seem like this was "intentionally" done as part of the game's lore and it doesnt work at all. Just like the empty planets.

Nice try BGS. :steamfacepalm:

Starfield does not play out in the "ENTIRE GALAXY." The entire MIlky Way galaxy is around 150,000 light years in diameter. The Settled Systems are around 100 -200 LY at best, thousands of times smaller. Remember that the huge number of cities on Earth has developed over many thousands of years, whereas Starfield occurs only a few hundred years in the future. There has been time to extract, refine and process only the materials to build one good-sized city and a handful of smaller cities, which are more like high-tech townships. In addition the human population that left Earth was extremely limited by the early tech at hand after discovering Grav Drive science. Labor was limited, and restricted early on by the need to simply survive. Given time, I'm sure many more cities will arise from the smaller settlements that dot the Systems, but it takes resources, labor, commitment, and the credits to grease all the necessary wheels..

Bro, consoles can barely run it at 30fps. There is only so much they can add before consoles wont be able to play the game. CP was trash on consoles at launch because that game was clearly PC first. Now the console version cant hold a candle to the PC version.

Crysis 1 to 2 shows what happens when games are designed for consoles.

Why would you live in a city when instead you could avoid taxes.

Far as I can tell 75 percent of the entire population are spacers now

Smart choice. True freedom with no UC or Freestar boot

You've made 20 posts on here in 4 hours, a game you don't like and don't play. You keep saying you go to the gym and have a girlfriend, but your post history shows a total obsession with a game that you have no interest in playing - and you would rather be on here than doing something constructive?

The haters are dying on here. There's still you, your alt login, Jaceybabee or whatever, plus a handful of others, but your gang is running out of steam.

My advice, get a hobby, a real girlfriend or actually join a gym and go to it, because living rent-free on this forum and making 3,000 posts here, is childish.

I'm more disturbed there's no local city maps
