Good planets for outposts?
Schrodinger VIII-a has nickel, iron, lead, cobalt and uranium. It also has Alkanes and Chlorine but I find those to be less important.

Honestly Uranium isn't too important either unless for specific research and some higher end reactors, but the nickel, iron, lead and cobalt is a nice find.

Furthemore, it has tropical and deciduous forests, water, and 18% oxygen, so I can walk around without my helmet, has decent scenery too.

No aluminum sadly, but its a great candidate for supply chains.

Anyone got some great candidates out there?

Here is a link to a site that generates Starfield planet lists based on what criteria you input: https://inara.cz/starfield/starsystems/
It may help you in your search.

Ah, interesting. I may use that later. For now I'm trying to explore on my own o:

Good Planets are less useful imo than good outpost locations; I found some reddit posts with screenshots which allowed me to have a Zamka outpost with 5 resources and a second outpost on Voss with 6

Bessel III-B has all the starting resources and a good time conversion rate. No extreme environmental conditions either so can be used right from the start.

Here's a good vacation spot:

Nemeria IV-a, in the Wetlands bordering a Mountains biome. Water is safe to swim, no significant predators, all fauna aerial. System has a number of resource-rich planets and moon. Near to Cheyenne for any that are missing in-system.

What I found, was to choose based on which one I could put down a greenhouse and Animal husbandry shed and those generated many useful resources. Then based on that locate where you can also pickup some inorganics you use all the time. When it comes to the hard to find resources you need on occasion, I drop a temp outpost and farm up a container or two then pull the outpost and store those items either on a mobile base ship or a base setup specifically for your work benches and storage.

These days I don't farm outpost anymore. Yeah, I have some that I gather Al, Fe, Ti, W, Ni , Pa, Ta and stuff I run out of modding my weapons; but I pretty much am not getting anything new to mod. So this leaves me dropping my outpost markers to mark parked ships I will collect later, structures I like to go farm like my recent Drilling platform location.

For names of places that I went straight to after my NG+(x1)
Zelany
Bohr
Descan

maybe misspelled sorry if so; but these are goto systems for me

Andraphon, a moon in the Narion system (the same system you start the game in), has Helium-3, Aluminum, Iron, Beryllium, and Europium making it a good place for your first outpost. If you land in a spot with a split biome where the mountain biome and the crater biome meet, you can run the border and find a spot where you can mine Helium-3, Aluminum, Iron, and Beryllium with 1 outpost.
The 4 minute mark of this video explains how to do this in more detail.
