Storage container capacity (bug?)

I've noticed when I land at my outpost to unload resources into my storage containers. I top them off at 100% Meaning they are completely full. But when I check again a moment later, they are not at 100%
Anyone have a clue what the heck is going on? :)

Are they linked?

It will follow the linking. Not sure if they autolink if next to each other or not. Maybe someone else can shed light on that. I've not delved super deep into outposts.

I am new to the game. So I'm sure what linked exactly entails. But they are snapped together.
