Modding?
Likely a "duh" question, but where does one locate modding tools for this game please? I've played a bajillion (no fact check: It's a fake number) Bethesda games but haven't really wanted to mod until now so the basics of where/what are new to me. Thanks in advance (didn't see any pinned topics before I asked).

They haven't released the Creation Kit for Starfield yet. However, there is xEdit which offers some functionality for making mods. Also you can do retexturing fairly easily with image editing apps (I use Photoshop).

Some needed tools are:
BAE extractor (to extract game files)
xEdit (for making mods)
Starfield Geometry Bridge for Blender (for importing and exporting meshes)
An image editor and relevant DDS plugin (Photoshop, Gimp, etc.) (for working with textures)

There are other tools as well. I'm not by any means expert at this, but I hope this small amount of info has been helpful.

There are a few different mod managers, I personally prefer the manual method.
You just put the files where they need to be, edit some ini files and make sure the plugin.txt is in the local folder and NOT the same folder as the inis (maybe I was the only one to make that mistake tho)

Bethesda always releases the official tools approximately 4-6 months after a title's initial release. That's on the average, Starfield may or may not take longer but Bethesda has already announced they'll be coming in 2024.
