Or - even though it is not a rifle, and the rate of fire is hence pretty meh... ...the Breach shotgun can do full auto without losing its punch.
Beowulf for semi-auto with silencer, Va'ruun Inflictor for semi-auto noisy.
Tombstone (IIRC) has the nice touch that it can be modified with Penetrator Ammo, but I'll have to look that up in-game later.
The drum beat with explosive rounds is better than say the Grendel and tombstone configured for whitehot rounds but the Inflictor configured for annihilator round beats everything IMO - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3105607262
oh, i renamed this rifle to keep track when selling inventory, it is actually just an instigating advanced inflictor
The Kodama is also categorized as an assault-rife for gameplay purposes such as mods and trait bonuses, even though the in-game description even admits that's actually a machine pistol >_>
Otherwise, Beowulf or AA-99.
Burst fire rifles (As opposed to Full Auto) benefit from the Marksmanship skill, so you can pump out some crazy crit bursts while still retaining most of the Full auto feel
